[CAN] Re: 322 KWS - Echelon | 114m | 2 x 31 Lvls | Mixed Use
Totally agree. Much of the area seems quite run down and inappropriate for 21st c bldgs in a major thoroughfare. Its sleek modern appearance befits such an area. Other new high rise will complement this soon enough - as further south. KWS I thought had allowance now for such height. Perhaps a scale ...

I like it so far - (using some imagination from the renders).Seems we are getting a number of relatively narrow - one pair of sides - rectanglar bldgs . Also seems we are developing a new ceiling from the old 18 levels to 30 floors in several new proposals, moving in a general SE direction. ADELAIDE...

You have numbered 47 - a lot going on here - much more than I thought...and.... some big ones too. Much more spread out and not the spine than was to be. Looking forward to seeing some of this in action in Nov.

Starbucks have no idea of good coffee nor have Gloria Jeans in my experience.(IMHO). In England it's like no-one has any idea except the Australian baristas. (found THREE in Bath in the UK - a city of 86000). Good coffee - made without bitterness from not cleaning coffee machines, right roasting tem...

Fantastic looking building. Sleek, imposing. It seems there are more and more 30+ proposals where once such bldgs were extremely rare and over a long time. The ones coming to mind are Kudo, this one, the one on Frome St, The Trims site and I believe one more on Pirie St. Vue seems to have been the i...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
Agree entirely with Nathan. Many stations seem here seem user unfriendly. Most of Brisbane's stations are manned with an office. (many with toilets). A number of the Pt line stations here are very poor - glorified bus stops being a complimentary phrase to use. Would be better to reduce number of sto...

Still confident this WILL eventuate. My current favorite of all proposals. KWS Sth should be developing an active population presence of it's own soon with a threshold not too far away that will attract many 'ancillary' street level people activities. (The resi pop. must be getting high there). BTW ...

I agree with Ben entirely. Looks like an uninviting monolith with street appeal and seems to be a relative of commie blocks - short on design and cheep impact. The proposal for the Trims site leaves this even worse by comparison. Colour OK. I do realize that it is opinion but leaves me unimpressed. ...

This is to be known as Echelon Apartments. Advertising has started i believe. Can't wait to see this start. Will be over in Adelaide later in the year - will have a good look and talk to relevant people in the process. The project has bulk but looks very sleek as well. Big impression in KWS Sth. Th...

In reference to the superimposed photos a few posts ago, I wouldn't get too concerned about that isolated 'oversized' high rise look. Bris. is the same - with one VERY high round block each end about 45 floors each. Around them nothing much yet. It will fill in over time here as well as in Adelaide....
