Has anyone got a render of what's being built? I do! http://transforminghealth.sa.gov.au/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Aerial-View.jpg http://transforminghealth.sa.gov.au/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Additional-Image-FMC-Bedroom.jpg http://transforminghealth.sa.gov.au/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08...

[COM] Re: 11-27 Frome Street | ~120m & 70m | 36 & 21 Levels

I found a couple of renders ;) Although, this is a jocular post, I wont be surprised of the final render doesn't look similar to this. As the developer is Kyren, they will likely stick with Cheeseman Architects. If you look at their website, most of their projects have a similar architectural expre...

[COM] Re: Corner of Franklin and Pitt streets | ~53m | 17 Levels

Still angry that unique and important part of Adelaide's architectural heritage is being demolished. Disgusting behaviour by the Uniting Church, and boo to the government/heritage register for allowing the protection to be revoked. I hope the DAC tear the proposal to shreds. Agree with that. At the...

[PRO] Glenelg Jetty Hotel and Marine Research Centre | $110m

I'm sure this has been mentioned here somewhere else, but it's definitely worth its own thread. Note that the $110m is for the first stage of lengthening and widening the jetty: A HOTEL floating above the Glenelg jetty and with ocean views across the horizon is the centrepiece of a $110 million deve...

Was the Diesel a pop up until it fit out a permanent store?

Diesel seems like such an early 2000s label that I couldn't imagine it doing well, much like G-Star.

Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment

Was in the members' and yeah, there was a bit of angst. I don't think it'll be an issue in future years. They had an on-screen announcement just after the first shot saying what it was and not to be alarmed. You'd think they'd do it before the whole thing started like they do regarding the fireworks...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

The landlord who wants money after likely trying to get better quality tenants? Not sure that the ACC can reject a tenant based on what it sells, provided it's not illegal or objectionable in a general sense. As for the signage, it doesn't seem too over the top. I can't see them lasting long anyway....

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Lindt is opening up a store at Harbour Town (of all places). Wouldn't be too big a stretch to suggest they might be looking to open a cafe in the CBD.

Matt Blatt is also opening up it's first Adelaide store on Morphett Street.

I like the fact that it's not your standard box, but it's a bit too 1990s Gold Coast for me. It already looks dated and completely out-of-place.

Edit: just seen that others have said pretty much exactly the same thing. Nice to know I'm not alone on this.

[COM] Re: Rundle Mall Redevelopment | $30m

Saw it up close and personal today as opposed to from a drive-by and I actually really like it. The finish of the lights looks good and for lack of a better term, "expensive". There are only 4 poles that I could see - the two at either end of the Mall are likely to have some (hopefully int...
