Thanks, Andy! I didn’t get a chance to take any pics yesterday, and they are pretty difficult to describe in words. Not the greatest looking specimens just yet!!

New large trees were being craned in to the plaza today and are now in position. They didn’t have leaves so it was difficult to tell what species they are.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere, but extra height barriers are being installed on the Morphett St bridge along the Western side. Assuming this is to stop anyone from touching the new overhead wiring.

CDW Studios are expanding outwards by filling in some of the void to create extra floor space.

Last Festival Plaza crane is coming down today

Some early work has commenced, ‘Built’ signage up, and pedestrians are diverted off the footpath and on to KW Rd around the southern end of the site.

So I went and had another look on my lunch break, there is a black crane base on the Western side of the site, out of shot of the photo posted by matthawke. Sorry, no photographic evidence, but glad I haven’t gone mad!

I thought I spotted a crane base on site as I rode past last night. Can anyone confirm?

Yes, should have clarified sorry - it is the beaurepaires on Pulteney St that has been flattened.

I noticed yesterday that the building where Stage 5 (https://www.formeprojex.com.au/stage-05) of Hurtle and Co. will be is fenced off, so perhaps demolition will happen soon.

Massive mural of Sia, presumably part of the laneway project relating to renaming 4 city laneways after music legends. This is on the Rockford Hotel facing the Morphett St Bridge.
