[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
I recall the main goal was to create a non stop journey from Gawler to Old Noarlunga. Does it necessarily have to be under South Road? No but the conceptual design activity/study is *well* into the past now. They have spent tens of millions of dollars up to this point in planning the overall route....

It's a relatively wide bridge. It might be able to accomodate 2+2 traffic but not more (like the beach road bridge)

"airport link" seems to be an internal concept that was descoped and never supposed to be made public.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
ast the halfway mark of trams to be refurbished. Yes, new accessible trams don’t appear overnight, and refurbishing is far more cost-effective... but it’s certainly an interesting choice to make. That's interesting - usually in public service circles accessibility is seen as non-negotiable. Especia...

Detailed designs? Or two pictures spoonfed to the advertiser/Sunday mail?
Would be good to see the actual detailed design documents.

The only way privatisation of public services can be profitable is to cut services/quality, make redundancies and cut back in other areas to save money. Or to make things more efficient. Unfortunately I think the private sector profits will come from 1) Making things more efficient - great! 2) Disp...

Re: News & Discussion: National Broadband Network
I think you are both right. FTTN is a collosal waste, with most of the "final mile" infrastructure going to need to be torn up and replaced with fibre in time. But FTTP was a labor-party led "bink batts" project and would have taken decades at the rate it was going, and was absol...

Is that the same Agostino Group that owns the AM/PM fuel/convenience outlets, or are the car dealer Agostinos a different family? The Agostino that owns AM/PM is the one who owns the carpark and the the top couple of levels are their offices. I assume that its the same as the car dealers. The helip...

Anyone advocating replacing rail.. light or heavy with Obahn style buses, I would strongly recommend you stand near the Obahn track in the linear park near StPeters. 1. The noise of a high revving diesel bus trying to maintain 80kph is very unpleasant. 2. Add to that the "roar" of rubber ...

Asking the important question. If it's going to be infrequent, may as well rip it up and replace with buses. They could rip out the Tonsley line and replace with an O-Bahn. It would make the buses from near Happy Valley faster too. I live near happy valley so have thought of this too. The Tram was ...

I’ve wondered a few times whether the solution for south access to the expressway at majors might be a bit further south, opposite st Frances winery. A one lane flyover over south road (or traffic lights) for cars entering the expressway heading south, and a 1 lane flyover for cars exiting the expre...

It does make sense to use those apps, rather than the state government to build, fund and maintain their own.
An equivalent would be like SA creating their own version of the google maps app - why do it when others have already done it and are better at it.

If you enquire now, his office won’t get back to you about it. I have enquire via three calls and 2 emails about this project over the last 2mths. I have also checked in with labor who are in near by seats, and they have been unable to get answers. Apparently they only promised to investigate it, n...
