[APP] Re: Windsor Gardens Shopping Centre > Bunnings Warehouse
The existing Bunnings will go back to the Franklins family estate because they wouldn't sell up to Bunnings. I wonder what it'll become next... BTW, Home Hardware from St Morris has moved into the former Direct Interiors as 'Direct Home Hardware'. And soon, with two large hardware stores in the sam...

I can't see how Rundle Street could be described even remotely as "run down". A lack of new buildings in an already developed area certainly doesn't indicate that it is run down, especially when several buildings have been or are being refurbished. Mate, I can't see how Rundle Street coul...

It would appear Channel Nine have commenced their move to the new Hindmarsh Square HQ (removals trucks at the old site on the weekend), I'd expect to see the old site up for sale sometime soon. One day Australia will lift its game. It will hopefully start by removing all palm trees. They do not belong on our land, and they look right well stupid when people plant them. :wallbash: This isn't Naples or Cannes. Well actually... They're extremely well-suited to Australia's northern landscape.

Spoke to one of the staff at the existing Bunnings on the site.
The new store will be open this time next year, it will be two stories and the existing Bunnings will go back to the Franklins family estate because they wouldn't sell up to Bunnings.

This isn't even slow, it's barely happening. Seriously, why is it taking so long? I get the size of the building is one factor, but even still one/two floors in the space of two months?EBG wrote:Slow but steady progress. Now working on second level above ground as at last Sunday 13 Sept 15.

[COM] Re: Rundle Mall Redevelopment | $30m
Someone please tell me why is it that every Christmas tree in an Australian city is always awfully tacky? Simplicity, people. It's always more. They're tying the tree into the mall's branding. Exactly why it's tacky. Sure they have enough branding everywhere else in the mall to not have to come to ...

I'm not a NIMBY, but this is bad news. That parcel of land should be protected under similar regulation as the Parklands. The state government are just trying to make money off of community land. oh gawd, there is literally hundreds and hundreds of acres of parklands a 3 min walk away No, not "...

Wait, hold up. Wasn't the Quest going to be on the other (eastern side) of the market shed on that large patch of dirt? I recall the renders originally showing this.
IMO, if they want to improve the Port, how about rebuilding the ugliest bridge in the southern hemisphere?..

Surely it is only a matter of time now before those salt pans are redeveloped into something else. All the engineering for this connector is going to isolate them from the sea. it would be a site with some environmental and civil engineering problems but would still be of value, so close to a city ...

Had my first look at the lights today in person and despite my earlier comments, they're not nearly as bad as I thought; the poles are still the most offensive part of the whole concept but they'd look great otherwise. The cabling is not nearly as bad as the netting they've used in Bourke Street Mal...

I hate those grandstand seats. I do miss the permanent stores in the middle like the visitor centre, greengrocer, restaurants. Rundle Mall needs a fruit and vegetable store or maybe a open air market . we should also do a light show displays on the buildings . there should also be garden boxes to g...
