Re: Liv Golf Tournament

I dont feel this was too heavily promoted to be honest. I don't really care for AFL or golf, but I heard so much about gather round in the lead up, and literally didn't hear about this until Mali had posted something on Facebook FROM the event. I'm all for both events becoming a regular in our calen...

Re: AFL Gather Round

Yeah when I referred to Barossa and Noarlunga, I was meaning within the metro borders. Of course country is also an option. I know nothing about Northern ovals' size or capacity which is why I piggy backed off a previous mention of the Barossa. As for Noarlunga, Hickenbotham is the most southern ova...

I'm only 33 and I remember that l, it wasn't too long ago.

Re: AFL Gather Round

I'd like to see a game far north and far south. Barossa had been suggested, and quite likely for next year, so maybe one at South Adelaide (Noarlunga) as well. This opens tourism to the McLaren Vale and Aldinga regions, and the road duplications should be done pr so close to done that they will be t...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

I understand why there's not a ramp at Flaxmill Road, and there is nothing significant in that area except the former CFS and St John stations (now moved to Beach Road for closer expressway access). But it always bothered me that Flaxmill Road is such a great standard of road, entirely 2+2 lanes wit...

Are the decorations stored on-site or externally?

[U/C] Re: Main South Road & Victor Harbor Road Upgrade

Victor Harbor Road is progressing quite well. Surface has been laid for 90+% of the southbound carriageway, and between South Road and The future roundabout at Robinson Road, they've marked lines in preparation for the traffic switch. They've also been progressively moving the concrete barriers on t...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Not everyone works in the city. I grew up in Morphett Vale and have lived in the area my whole life, living in Sheidow Park now. Over my career, I've never worked (long term) North of Warradale. Never needed to commute to the city so living in the inner suburbs would just be unnecessary. I have larg...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Yet again, poor planning foresight strikes again. If I were a resident or business owner who lives on the stretch of Main South Road (MSR) between Seaford / Patapinga Roads and Griffiths Drive / Robinson Road, I'd have genuine concerns about the potential for properties to be compulsorily acquired ...

[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Going up to go down and vice versa is a non issue I get off the Southern Expressway (southbound) at the Panalatinga exit and turn left to head back to Lander Road all the time, and it doesn't bother me. Much easier than dealing with the Marion/Seacombe lights. Since the Darlington works completed, ...

[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Bored tunnels clearly result in the least disruption to the surface above them. I'm disappointed that once it's all finished, the trip to the airport from the north will use less of the motorway than we do now, as we will have to use the exit before Port Road. Im sure there are plans for an airport...

Re: PRO: Marion Road Level Crossing Removal Project | $200m

I'm not saying a shitty, narrow, dark underpass like in other areas. Something pedestrian friendly, wide. Open cut all the way up the the street so the only covered part is directly under the road. I agree it's a pedestrian area, but that doesn't mean they MUST be at surface level if it can improve ...

Re: PRO: Marion Road Level Crossing Removal Project | $200m

While the corner shops are demolished, they should have taken the opportunity to build a pedestrian underpass from the square under Colley surfacing on Jetty Road.

[PRO] Re: [PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)

The standalone Coles just north of Marion was renamed from Oaklands Park to Warradale after its renovations to avoid the confusion between that store and Westfield Marion being in Oaklands Park. Considering it’s located in the suburb of Warradale and is right opposite the Warradale Hotel, it makes ...
