I was trying to get a clear photo of it (failed), but there's some interesting design on the cladding on the west-facing exterior of the carpark. Appears to be a faint-ish picture of a large city, possibly manhattan, painted across the entire wall.

Re: CBD Development: General

the 2 rooftop cinemas in melbourne & brisbane don't appear to be anything special. I'd like a rooftop party here in Adelaide. It's already setup! Or here, which i think was a short-lived restaraunt location. http://www.nearmap.com/?q=@-34.925055,138.601806&ll=-34.925055,138.601806&z=20&...

Re: CBD Development: General

Got a work email today that our credit union (Aust Central/Savings & loans) has decided that the combined head office will be at Flinders Street and is currently seeking a developer to build a new 5 star energy building at the existing Savings & loans site. So there u go Interesting move. A...

So who are they aiming this at? I didn't think this was student apartments. I guess maybe chinese immigrants? International investors, no doubt... but as for the actual residents... my bet is that they'll appoint someone like Oakes as building managers and try and get the investors to allow them to...

Re: Rundle Mall - A Smokers' Paradise

Yup, it's totally disgusting, selfish act. I can't describe it in words either why someone would be so negligent; as to cause harm to innocent bystanders on the street. If I was to drive my car up a gutter and hurt someone I would be charged, but smokers harm others every day and get away free with...

Great pics of the site guys. Nothing protruding past the fencing that i can see from here yet.

There was a very healthy supply of concrete mixers heading down Pirie St on Thursday and Friday and looked like the concrete pump was getting a serious workout.

Signs are up noting that Waymouth will be closed for 4 days from, i think the 12th or the 13th, from 6:30pm to 4am. I assume to do with this development? Was wondering the same thing myself, but I'm not sure. If it was during the day, then probably, but at evening? Suggests to me that they're doing...

Great! Another fast food outlet to cure the effects of post-alcoholic-consumption on Sunday mornings. :applause: Lol, but so many niche options have moved in during HJ's absence! Anyways, im a bit new to all the development talk... does anyone have any background reading as to the height limitation...

Waymouth Street will be closed this weekend (the section between Topham Mall and KWS). I wonder if it's to install the second crane? I know the crane base is at the end of a small side street that runs off Waymouth St. Hmmm... they had that part of waymouth closed when they were hoisting the boom u...

Sure thing, pic from the balcony attached (before the crane went up there on Waymouth next to the WorkCover building). Im a smoker and i do tend to smoke on the odd occasion i travel along the mall - but most of the time it's crossing the mall from Grenfell st side to the northern side of the mall or vice versa, which takes all of 20 seconds lol. It wouldnt exactly be a large inconvenience if i were banned from smok...
