I think the best location for a new stadium is at Gepps X. It makes sense to have it in the same location as the Hockey Stadium and the Velodrome. Its not that far from the city but has plenty of access from Main North Road, Bridge Road & Grand Junction Road for smoother traffic dispersal. Also ...

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb
This is from the Mawson Lakes Community website: Mawson Lakes History The Kaurna people, traditional custodians of the land occupied the Adelaide plains some 24,000 – 7,500 years ago. Following European settlement in the 1830’s, the area now known as Mawson Lakes was pastoral holdings known as T...

[COM] Re: #Proposal: 97m Victoria Square Tower
Just off the topic, I love that elevated pic of the CBD. Would be great if we could do a quick helicopter ride over the city, so we could take some more pics. I wonder how much they would charge if we got a group together from here, for 30 mins over CBD Have a look here: http://www.heliair.com.au/h...

Re: #Proposal: Home HQ Gepp X $170m
Yes they do already have a store down the road from the new site. This will allow them to have a much larger floor space, better access and more exposure at the new site.Quote:"Düsseldorfer"doesn't Harvey Norman already have a big store just 2km or less down main north road....

Re: #Proposal: Home HQ Gepp X $170m
Whilst i'm all for this development as the site has been an eyesore for years... its BS that they have been given approval to install yet ANOTHER set of traffic lights on Main North Road! If they want a traffic light controlled entrance then they should make use of the set ajacent the Woolwor...

Re: Introduction Thread
When I’m away I end up speaking to a lot of people about home and generally the perception of the state is somewhat negative. I encourage them to visit if they haven't been here before and always talk Adelaide up in the hope that it will change people’s opinions for the better, even if it is on...

Re: Parcels of undeveloped land?!
As i work in Wingfield, I have often wondered why the land to the North of the Port River Expressway remains vacant myself. From memory, this was to be used for the ill fated MFP development and i think it was also flagged as a possible location for a new Adelaide Airport. You would think that it co...

Re: Grand Final - Port vs Geelong
If the crow's were true to their roots they would have paraded down Jetty Rd at Glenelg. The difference between Port and Collingwood is that Port wins premierships. Why just Jetty road??? do you forget the contributions from Norwood and North Adelaide FC??? Whilst we are arguing semantics Adelaide ...

What a great design! Adelaide is becoming more and more stylistic in it's approach to achitecture
This is the sort of building that helps to raise the bar in terms of it's uniquness of design in Adelaide.
Keep up the good work
