[COM] Re: Rundle Mall Redevelopment | $30m
The more I see the lighting poles; the more it makes me want to move into the city, run for council in the next elections, tear these lights down and start the process again but this time with NO poles. What were they honestly thinking with the lumpy looking effect on the bottom of the pole? OR the ...

I'm no professional or even graduate architect, but I can still come up with a concept for this site in a few hours - here's one i prepared earlier  I tried to go with something that blends with the newer developments surrounding it but with significantly more height (30 stories). Blocky comp...

[COM] Re: Channel 9 site Tynte St North Adelaide
My apologies, I should have made myself more clear (forgetting this is the thread for the old Nine site). I was referring to the signage on their new HQ in Hindmarsh Square. They're not in there yet, but it can't be too long now.

[COM] Re: Channel 9 site Tynte St North Adelaide
Signage is up on this one, not too sure when it was installed but it looks decent. There isn't really much going for this building so any additions (yes, even some colourful signage) is a marked improvement. I'm not entirely sure when they said they'd be relocating but it can't be too far off now...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
The only necrotising fasciitis I've come across is Anne Moran herself. Any woman who uses the word 'funky' to describe the direction our city's businesses should be heading should not have a public office role. Sandy Wilkinson's suggestion of 100m exclusion zone? Are you f**king kidding me! That's n...

Two-Bit Villains (great cafe/restaurant that very generously cater for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free - for you those of you who didn't know already) have moved from their tiny little store located halfway down the second floor of the Adelaide Arcade into the much larger old ballroom of the Adelaide A...

Seriously a preserve Kent town association, is this state insane. Similar organisations exist interstate too. As an example, I recall there was a similar one in Melbourne that protested against the proposed freeway that was cancelled by the new state government. They were insane too. No, they were ...

Not completely relevant, but thought it were worth sharing as a comparison to what is planned for the Adelaide Casino. Perhaps SkyCity should go back to the drawing board? http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/business/brisbane-casino-echo-wins-bid-for-new-mega-casino-20150720-gigghg.html?&utm_source=...

Is that perhaps a rooftop bar or restaurant on T2? looks to be a lot of greenery up there. Also no mention of this yet in the Advertiser... Wayno, based on the Advertiser's track record they won't report on it for another few months, at which time they will: (1) run a scare story on 'skyscrapers in...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
I can perhaps see a Western Stand expansion. But those of you holding out for a Northern Stand will be waiting a lifetime, it'll never happen. If it were going to happen, they'd have done it when they underwent the redevelopment and faced the public backlash then. People will be even more opposed to...

[COM] Re: Rundle Mall Redevelopment | $30m
yep, installed at both ends. On a different matter, the council is again taking aim at food trucks in the city and considering banning them from the mall. Even though pop up food outlets were part of the redevelopment plan as a replacement for the permanent kiosks. It's like deja vu with the claim ...

Re: Krispy Kreme opens on Port Road
How will the Northern connector have an affect on this? The majority of business is going to come from the residential areas east of the location, mainly Salisbury and Playford councils. I'm sure the target consumer of a product that comes in a dozen is passing trucks lol. I'm not a huge fan of Kri...

I hope the Northern Connector takes shape soon, can't wait to see this Krispy Kreme store go under.ghs wrote:Krispy Kreme Adelaide Version 4.0
This is the new one opening on Port Wakefield road. The design is the same as the store
on Port road.
