[PRO] Re: Masonic Lodge | 160m | 39lvls | Mixed Use | NEW TALLEST

no one who's alive today will live long enough to see anything remotely close to 160m ever built in adelaide. since westpac in 1988 it took over 30 years to build something which topped it by around 5 metres or so. it's a good vision but I wouldn't be holding my breath that's for sure. Gee you're m...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

so you're saying that someone travelling south and entering the motorway at tonsley shouldn't exit at Darlington where macdonalds is because they are trying to avoid 5 sets of traffic lights?? so there should be a minimum distance traveled on it otherwise it shouldn't be used?? I had no idea that th...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

I think we need to keep in mind that the remaining section of this motorway goes through the most densely populated part of it's entire length. if they don't get the entry/exit points right we'll end up with major congestion and bottlenecks. we can debate about whether it should be for freight or co...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

at the end of the day regardless of who uses this motorway if the design, entry/exit points are not done correctly we'll end up with a grid locked motorway through the central west. hopefully it won't end up a laughingstock like the previous one way southern expressway.

[quote=ChillyPhilly post_id=199554 - Encouraging the design to cater for freight movement and not commuter traffic; [/quote] bit late for that. 90% of the traffic on the southern expressway end are normal cars commuting and I would say that thousands of commuters also use the northern end. freight m...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

Given the tunnel ends just north of Cross Road anyway I would have thought it would make sense to make the tunnel slightly shorter and do a new cross road / south road interchange while also grade separating the train line. The northbound on-ramp and south bound off-ramp under the tram overpass wou...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

while there can be opposing arguments as to whether a road is a local road or not the reality is that if there aren't sufficient entry exit points on this corridor it will just lead to congestion at entry exit points. as an example northbound if the only entry exit point between tonsley and Richmond...

. the north south corridor doesn't even cross greenhill hill road so that makes it irrelevant.
Not at all, Richmond Road for most practical purposes can be considered an extension of Greenhill Road.
spot on. and according to the maps shown there will be on/off at Richmond road.

no option to get off at cross rd which is the biggest road we have that runs east west? Isn't Grand Junction Road bigger in every way? Greenhill Road has the biggest volume. Followed by Regency Road also with more volume than Cross Road. Cross Road is the 4th biggest east west road. Although I thin...

something doesn't seem right here, northbound once you enter the tunnel at tonsley you can't get off until anzac highway? no option to get off at cross rd which is the biggest road we have that runs east west? wow the anzac highway on/off ramps are going to bank up onto the motorway itself.

how is work progressing on the R2P section?? is it still on track to be completed before the end of the year? I don't know construction at all but to me it looks like it could be finished by July. ok, the last time I ventured that far north they had only just moved the over pass into place and ther...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

at this stage the plan is for a lowered motorway under the glenelg tram line and anzac highway.

my question is would the tram overpass need to be completely removed and rebuilt if that section is widened for new surface roads and a new trench?
