Great news about construction starting! can't wait to see pictures of the site cleared and covered in fencing.
Do you guys think that Hansen & Yuncken will use a tower crane for this project? Although the building is very long, it is not very tall, with its height to main roof being 21.4m.

Stalls in Rundle Mall is just a token gesture. How about the ACC get rid of (bankrupt) Imax and give us back what we already had :( Amen to that. Did you guys hear the statement Imax directors made when they left? "I guess adelaide's not ready for Imax yet"... yeah right, if they had mark...

I seriously think Adelaide should bid for the 2014 or 2018 Commonwelath Games. We should also bid for the world Expo and if we want to be adventurous the 2016 or 2020 Olympics. Not only would such an event improove the citiy's public transport and sporting infraestructure, it would lead to an increa...

News & Developments: Glenelg
A Motel at 22 Colley Terrace, Glenelg, may be demolished and replaced with a 8 level residential apartment building, with 2 levels of underground parking. Norwood 283 Pty Ltd has lodged and application with the Holdfast Bay council to demolish the current structure and build the new building. 22 Col...

I read that article in the City Messenger, and I am outraged at the quality of journalism. The old Advertiser building is not simply going to be re-clad. It is obvious that the journalist has not read the relevant documents. The old Advertiser building is going to receive a make-over more extreme th...

It's probably just a coincidence with the airport comment, but Hansen & Yuncken have been selected to build this tower. On their website it appears that the building has had another height increase, as it is now 14 levels, and it will have 20 000 sqm2 of office space. It will also have 140 under...

Adelaide can certainly do it, and if everyone in this state put their energy towards getting the games here, we would definately win them. We should aim for the 2014 games! Although some would say that it is too soon. Australia and a few others are the only Commonwealth contries capable of hosting t...

I'm not sure I see the point. Isn't this already a quite viable site where we can do everything you propose at this new forum? No offence Mants, but this site already offers all the things you mentioned. If you want to establish an alternative site, it should have something that SSC OR Sensational ...

I am very happy that the people of this state realized that there was absolutely no reason to oust the Rann government. The Libs did not have a vision for this state, during the election campaign they put together a raft of policies which were dull, stagnant and old. There was also a policy vacuum, ...

The state should establish its own immigration offices overseas. I know this is a federal responsibility, but these state offices would encourage people to migrate to SA as opposed to the other states. The state government could even financially help new migrants and help them to find a house, job a...
