[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)
Le Cordon Bleu where never going to move. I'd hate to think of the thousands of dollars various architects have wasted putting together plans for Le Cordon moving into the city. Just on a positive, how fantastic do the old hospital buildings now look all cleaned up? Very pretty part of the city, eve...

Re: SA Economy
Appreciate the updates, always good reading.
We have 3 Banks (consecutive, NAB and WBC) telling us how good the state is going, but why aren't we seeing jobs growth? Or even more rapid population growth?

Re: New City Arena
Don't get me wrong, I love a shiny new stadium as much as anyone, but I really don't see the need for this one. If the purpose is mostly to attract larger musical acts then we already have those bases covered.... Adelaide Oval, Entertainment Centre (which I still believe is more than adequate and w...

Imagine if our public transport network got some funding too... This, and moving the rail freight corridor north of the Adelaide rather than through the south of suburban Adelaide. I'm not sure how this cash injection aimed at creating jobs to deal with the current recession/fallout of COVID is exp...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
Its actually really sad we have people like this in Adelaide still.
The council should just stop allowing parking on the roads for a few years and see how that goes. Then build the bike path (yes, I get they lose the funding)

Re: New City Arena
This is like reading the comments section of the advertiser. Back on the development I wonder if there is any scope, with the sale of the entertainment area to realign the tram down to Hindmarsh Stadium ? The land will be cleared. On the actual project more detail will be needed, but I can't see a d...

That's good news though, people should pay for the service they use.ChillyPhilly wrote:Apparently enforcement has stepped up significantly on ticket/Metrocard validation.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Keolis Downer's contract begins today. It is a complete travesty that this has been allowed to happen. Privatising important public assets serves only the outdated ideology of a dangerous political party. These types of posts are amusing, I mean are you talking about the Labor party or the Liberal ...

A pass for what? Second rate tournaments of almost zero relevance? We recently got an ATP tour event yes? LOL, it's an ATP 250 event, the LOWEST tier of But there is nothing wrong with that, given the size of Adelaide. What does the ranking go on? Prize money? Or just quality and amount of courts?

I was told this weekend that the Feds are refusing to commit major funding to the main stretch, even if the state Libs had a shovel ready plan for the infrastructure stimulus money on time, because there's no business case that can be written up which shows it will make a profit. No profit means ze...

It was not so much the change of government but the people of Norwood, when given a choice between the prestige of having a tram or keeping the gum trees in the centre of the parade, most decided the gum trees were more important. so the liberals quietly dumped the tram plan because they did not ha...

Hopefully whichever one wins, it's on architectural merit, not government interference Sent from my SM-A530F using Tapatalk It's a government contract, so I don't know how you'd limit 'interference'. And I'm not sure architectural merit is a leading concern for Services Australia. For my own, I'd r...
