Anecdotally, I think this has something to do with concerns about pedestrian underpasses like the ones at Goodwood, Mile End etc being ...

He can reccomend it all he likes, it's not going to happen. It's not like the idea never occurred to previous governments, the problem is there's no profit in it because everyone will just drive on the existing parallel roads to save a buck, so a private operator won't take it on. I know someone wh...

lol at the people who want to turn the central market into another generic hub of franchise stores I work in the CBD 5 mins from central market. I want more alcohol selection and a good supermarket like Foodland. I believe Mel has a cbd Dan Murphy's. With the new arcade, the demand may be greater t...

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects
dumb logic. grow up. You're the one who escalated it to killing pedestrians. the streetscaping has only just been completed people already have had near misses on bank street and that is a different design with more obstacles Culture has to start somewhere - we didn't scratch off the motorway becau...

https://i.redd.it/73ttklnemg6a1.png South Australia has been effectively powered by green energy for a week, with one expert predicting it could extend to a month by early next year. From December 12 to 19, National Energy Market data showed wind and solar contributed on average 103.5 per cent towa...

I want to see a proper view of the roads going over the Torrens, because moving the motorway east and putting the B road back down at grade would seemingly undo the corner straightening on the other side of the river and actually make it worse, unless they plan to pave over half the cemetery

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Marion/Ascot Park merger could be a fantastic move. Alternatively, if they don't want to spend the money, the M44 could be extended to Oaklands to provide an interchange there Marion is as protected by Westminster as Mile End is by Temple, the rest of the stations may change around them, but they'r...

Good to see them making an effort to protect those new eucalypts, rather than leaving them exposed to every mug in a reversing dump truck or front end loader, or just buzzsawing them down for access entirely

I'm very surprised why this is even being considered given that the majority of people don't even want it to happen. A friend who is an academic at an interstate institution told me that UofA was floundering across the board even before Covid ripped away all their full fee paying internationals, an...

Datacom Connect is definitely not closing anytime soon. They're on a new contract for the APO and are actively recruiting. A friend who used to work at their Noarlunga site informed that they are closing there. Noarlunga (ATO contract) is closing, Modbury (APO contract) isn't, unless news about Mod...
