[COM] Re: 269 North Terrace | 118m | 36 Levels | Student accommodation

I doubt the block would cost $30m. Probably less than $10m, it would add $5m+ to the price of the apartments at Adelaidean, which seem to start at level 11. You can then build a 10 story building next to the hotel bit of Adelaidean. Plus they apparently offered to buy the site at 269.

[COM] Re: 269 North Terrace | 118m | 36 Levels | Student accommodation

I just find it poor planning by Adeladean to not buy the corner plot, I understand views aren't guaranteed but developers choose blocks to maximise profits, so you build opposite parks, next to heritage etc. Adelaide is surrounded by parks, yet our tallest buildings have views of an other building 1...

How would this building affect the views of this https://www.realestate.com.au/property-apartment-sa-adelaide-133915570 apartment? It's in the north-east corner on level 25. $1.1m and your view from bedroom 2 and 3 is 10 - 15m (over the pool 15 floors below) is of some random student eating noodles ...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

How much is the remaining 11km section going to cost? I've been looking at figures: Regency to Pym roughly $200m per km, Superway $190m (2013), Torrens to Torrens $200m (2018) and Darlington $230m. I've read figures if it was one tunnel it would cost $11bn, thats almost 5x the average cost so far. N...

Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

NQR (Not Quite Right) has replaced the old Rite Price in Morphett Vale and is in the process of fitting out the old Rite Price in Prospect. NQR is Victorias version of the now defunct Rite Price, the stores are very similar, NQR is a bit nicer though and I think has better variety. NQR has been arou...

The Harrison Road reserve is really noticeable in the first picture (row of trees on the left side opposite Coopers Brewery), does anybody know the history of why Harrison Road wasn't built (or was it unbuilt) it would have been very useful with the drama that is the closing of Pym Street and bus ro...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The old Islington Workshops line at Islington Station, the most eastern line could become a bus interchange, you could build a road from Davenport Terrace and come out near Hungry Jacks, you could also add stairs / lift to the bridge. This eliminates the need for pedestrians to cross the ARTC track....

The block is angled and you can see the neighbouring townhouses in the render. https://www.google.com/maps/place/13-17 ... 38.6153208

I love the design of these Medical Science buildings, it's like the architects are just designing them off a four sided grater!. SAHMRI looks great, number 2 should look great (lol) too. We just need a giant colander shaped building lol, that could be the new SA Pathology building, an upside down co...

Re: 250 homes to be demolished for 650 new ones

Would be nice if Housing SA finished projects before starting more. There's a massive block of land in Henley Beach South, opposite Henley High that used to be HSA units, which got demolished and is now vacant with a temporary fence, it's been vacant for a few years now. It would be worth a lot of m...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Where was South Brighton Station? - It's on the 1974 map and was demolished when the new Brighton Station was built in 1976. Brighton Station was moved 200m south. Seacliff station is only 1km from Brighton, maybe 1.5km max before the rebuilds in 1976. South Brighton would have been very close to Se...
