Re: News & Developments: Bowden TOD

I would be very surprised if Mali doesn't know this is part of the Bowden TOD noting that he literally lives just around the corner from it.
Would assume this is political spin - or looking after his patch of Bowden...

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m

What's underwhelming isn't the station, but the illustration of it. You'll note that it is labelled as an impression of Davenport terrace; if it was of the station, I dare say you'd have found more detail. Too quick to judge. [/quote] I reiterate, this has a budget of $10m. If this is a complete re...

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m

Images of the Ovingham train station have been released by the PTP Alliance. They are completely underwhelming considering this station has a budget of $10m! https://ptpa.com.au/projects/ovinghamcrossing#gallery-23-1 It has a glorified bus shelter and a bit of landscaping. For that budget, I would’v...

Re: #Official Defence Thread

Sorry, whats that sound I hear? Crickets. Didn't some pathetic troll bang on incessantly that defence in SA would be better off under a Coalition government? You have your answer. It's no. Mate, in 2012/13 under labor defence spending dropped to 1.56% of gdp. The lowest level since 1938. To put thi...

Has anyone got an idea of when in April the Gawler line will reopen? I live next to the Seaford Line and I’m really hoping that the noisy diesels will stop running down our line for storage or whatever, and go back to Dry Creek.
NIMBY much?

Re: #Official Defence Thread

SAAB is expanding its Mawson Lakes HQ. They are spending $77m to increase the size of their premise on Third Avenue. To put it into perspective, their existing building is that in the top left. I would say that Lockheed Martin Australia would also expand their building in the not too distant future....

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m

Received an information pamphlet about this project in my mailbox. States that the Ovingham station upgrade is now incorporated into this project. So, without a schedule change, the station will be complete by March 2023. They have started demolition with mounds of concrete all along the platform. I...
