[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

Is there any images or prelim. drafts of the route to show where th rail line would have gone? Was it also correct that this part would cost $400m? If not what was the costing?
Wayno can you draw/show your points of your rail line extension plan maybe also so I can understand better what you mean.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

I have seen a lot of homes demolished along the Torrens to Torrens section and am wondering if any body knows how many properties the govt has left to purchase [even percentage wise] and if any are facing forced resumptions? Also if or when any decision will be made on the actual construction. I kno...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Parklands

I believe the better the amenities and access to the parklands the more they will be used and infact thrive. A case in point is Bonython Park with its safe and ample off street parking [important for small children & families]. Further the investment in the playground [& kiosk] makes it far ...

Still don't like a brand new hotel to be built with no balconies (if I was a guest). I also wonder about the cost and the frequency of the abseiling window cleaners to keep all this glass clean. I also understand it may be the business model of the hotel blah blah blah... but while the building look...

That "park" on the right in the render is the rooftop sports courts of CBC college (and yes that's where it is).

How big is the new car park built under the Eastern stand ie how many cars (roughly) does it fit? I was told its just for players, officials, coaches etc...Wasn't there a plan to build a major car park as part of the development...can't remember where...anyone know what happened to that idea?

Re: VIS: Lipson Estate - Gillman

What I find ironic is that this land has laid dormant for decades with the last (only?) significant mention of it was as the future MFP site when John Bannon was the premier.... it's almost laughable that there are people up in arms and an apparent bidding war/legal action for what appears to me to ...

Re: VIS: Lipson Estate - Gillman

I agree with all your points Stumpjumper but struggle with what motive the govt would have to do this? Why would they want to sell land way under cost? I am sure they would have had independent valuations on the land which they should disclose. Why then do you think the govt did the deal they did? D...

I have tried to break it down and being very generous with figures....bobcat & driver for 3-5 days $10,000, clean back fill soil $10,000, dumping excess soil $10,000, crane and truck for the day $20,000, irrigation $10,000, arborist $10,000...even allowing another $10,000!! for intangibles the t...

Can someone explain how relocating a 13m tree some 100m could cost up to $225,000? Can we see the itemised quote? ...you would think Coles offer of $80,000 would be enough and it would be case closed?

[COM] Re: #SWP: Brickworks Redevelopment | $70m

In a perfect world yes.. but the bottom line is if all these fun things aren't profitable or there is no operator to bid for it or run it, what do you expect the council to do? Loose more money for their ratepayers? While I agree it's probably going to be just another generic tilt up shopping centre...
