Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I rode one of the new buses last week; it was the 8am or so G21F from Aberfoyle Hub to the City, and even still had the new car smell inside. How we got one on that route I don't know. I've seen a regular few on Flagstaff Road running the Aberfoyle Hub routes across the past two months. There are c...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Also I presume the actual AdelaideMetro consultation will be out in the not too distant future given consultation starts in April - maybe next week? Was due to be released this Thursday(30/4), but what I was told when I rang the info line today, that they are still working on finalising the plans f...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy
Anyone here know when the consultation on the new AdelaideMetro network will begin? The AdMet website just says from April until 30 June - I presume it'll start this week or next still? DPTI says it will start at the end of this month, which means info will be up on special Adelaide Metro website w...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I heard a rumour that an "Enhanced" Saturday timetable could possibly be introduced on our Public Transport Network on Weekdays commencing Monday 27th April (day of schools returning). I imagine this might involve additional peak hour services on some routes, addition of some weekday rout...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
If it does happen, it won't take long to realise that there is zero viability in charging people $30 return for a bus to and fro the city when for a little bit extra you can catch an Uber or taxi to the front door of your hotel or house. Even if J!X services are not part of the new Network, there i...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
That does make sense that with Skybus getting the AAL airside/car park shuttle contract, they may start Airport - CBD runs. With the J1X not proposed to continue with the New AdelaideMetro Network changes, that does provide scope for a new express bus to run to the CBD. If the J1X does not continue...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
You are entitled to your opinion Eurostar, but as you have read these or similar changes to Routes and services are going to happen! There are many routes that are just not viable, and we haven't had a major revamp for our Bus Networks in close to 30 years. These changes are necessary to put buses w...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I would imagine that when these new services/routes begin operation later in the year , the current Edinburgh Depot will close as there will no longer be J1,500,502 routes and there is the current (Southlink) Elizabeth Depot nearby.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Re Route 59 - Port Adelaide > Arndale > Regency Park - I don't think it will go down Torrens Rd at all as Route 17 is a Go Zone and this would be over servicing this section of road - maybe down Port Rd, Woodville Rd to Arndale given the gaps on these roads? I don't think the current route on Newca...
