I don't think we should exempt a tenant from planning requirements just because they're Apple.

Re: CBD Development: General

Some Sydney city bus stops have attendants selling and validating tickets in the queue before the bus arrives. You mean like we used to have back before the mid 1990s? :S Did you not read his post?? He compared the set up to Collins Street tram stops in Melbourne in which case people only use the le...

"Premium" is the top grade of office space, followed by A, B, C, D. It's an actual industry standard. It's based on things like availability of natural light, quality and quantity of amenities, wait time for elevators and so on.

Hopefully it's either not on the ground floor, or by 'office' they mean a bank branch or something.

There was supposed to be a cinema on Moseley Square but council said no. No one else to blame.

Re: #VIS: CBD Tram Loop

I agree with the general sentiment - the route is too complicated, and thus too slow. Keep it simple! I think the saved time by a simple Frome Street to Morphett Street square would more than make up for the extra walking distance on Hindley Street. I can't help thinking that an east-west line throu...

I was under the impression that Myer had nothing to do with the centre, other than naming rights.

[CAN] Re: #VIS: BHP Tower - $250 million

Premium space in Adelaide fetches around $4000 to $6000 per square metre, so for $250 million, we'd be looking at around 40,000 to 60,000 sqm. Frankly, massive.

Concrete walls are mandatory on property boundaries. One day the neighbouring building may be developed to be equally as tall. The wall between them must act as a fire barrier. It's the same in every other city.

This is a recording.

I still don't understand why Adelaide has to have a distance between vehicles and the terminals while Canberra's new terminal doesn't.

I don't think you can take anything about Festival Plaza from those Casino renders. I would say SkyCity just put that in to make their own development look prettier.

It seems to me that most public works are $1 for the parts, $5 for the labour, $5 for the planning, approvals and related paperwork and $5 for insurance, WorkCover etc.
