[U/C] Re: SWP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed

BILLIONAIRE property developer Lang Walker has walked away from a plan to jointly develop the long-abandoned former Le Cornu site at North Adelaide. The state's richest man, Con Makris, has promised to deliver the $200 million project alone, with construction expected to start as early as next Janu...

....and of the bland building colours in Adelaide. I'm guessing that is a problem with the camera, because it doesn't look that bland from the ground. There was some glare from the windows that i attempted to shield from the shot. Agree that the photo is a bit 'flat' for this reason, but also agree...

This picture was taken from the 29th Floor of Westpac house and gives an interesting perspective of the footbridge and oval.

Re: U/C: [ City Central ] Masterplan Thread

What appears to be a site office and some scaffolding has popped up between the GPO and Electra House. I'm not sure what this will be used for. Any thoughts?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Quite surprised by this, would have preferred to see the heritage plane display moved within the plaza. Was always annoyed that they positioned Qantas Club where they did in the new terminal; would have preferred to see that and the Virgin Lounge be positioned on a level above the terminal building...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw

I was on the first train yesterday and the A-City train is brilliant. The ride was so quiet and smooth. As a regular weekday commuter on the Gawler line, the new 4000 class train is a quantum leap over the 3000 class. I wont even try to compare it to the 2000 class Jumbo's. Yesterday's first schedul...

Premier Jay Weatherill today said commuters in the south had put up with significant disruption and now was time for a “pay off”...

[U/C] Re: PRO: Adelaide Festival Theatre Redevelopment

Have read all of the articles, clicked all the links, watched the (old) Riverbank animations and still none the wiser about what's actually going to happen to the plaza, other than a carpark. Am I missing something? Without any indication of timing or plans of any description, it all sounds a bit B...

I love the copper alloy looking treatment to the Grenfell Street facade.

Does anyone know if it is actually copper (and will turn green with time) or is it a coloured aluminium panel?
