Re: Statue on Adelaide Hills
The Quarryface at stonyfell in the second creek valley under greenhill road, is visable to much of inner adelaide even the western suburbs. How about buying out the quarry, and carving a massive face into the cliffface a la Mt Rushmore.

Re: Vision : West Terrace
quite frankly one of the more unrealistic of all the dreamings we go through at the moment. you do need roads in cities, West Terrace is always going to be that major arterial - it just needs to be improved a little (Goodwood Rd, ANZAC highway intergration - I'd even suggest making South Terrace a ...

[VIS] Re: #VIS: Adelaide Concert Hall
build it on the festival plaza, this is a completly unused space in a prime location, and it would allow the concert hall and festival theatre to be intergrated as one complex or entertainement area

Re: East-West Tram Link
Your stops are a very long way apart. THey are more the distance you would want for heavy rail, not trams. If you look at the distance tram stops are placed on the Glenelg- Entertainement center line, you will see they are a lot closer. People are lazy and you need to be able to compete with busses ...

Re: #PRO: City Busway - O-Bahn to West Tce
Nope. However, I suggest that buses feeding a hub with trams would be quicker. Which is the reason that other major cities round the world have not taken up the O-bahn. If the buses feeding the hub can return to their terminus more quickly because they do not have to travel all the way into town th...

Re: Yet another tram fantasy thread
people have complained there is not enough room on gouger street. Why not turn the bit between KW road and morphet street into a mall with trams. It will encourage further development of the area as a market and outdoor dining district.

Re: Vision: The New Adelaide Metro Era
in response to the latest map posted: as a vision for the future of light rail in adelaide, i think this is an excellent vision. I feel however that the heavy rail aspect of the network has been sidelined and needs more work. I have a few suggestions and questions just wondering, what is the point o...

Re: Rail Line to Flinders Uni
It just seems stupid to put trams rather than trains through to flinders. Obviously the only reason they are doing it is to cut costs, if you were building heavy rail you would need to develop a dedicated corridor that would likely include bridges. Putting in trams defeats the whole purpose of exten...

[COM] Re: PRO: Bowden Rail Tunnel | 1km $418m
While i think this is a wonderful project that is well overdue and will definatly be needed, i cannot help bu wonder why it costing 480 million for such a tiny tunnel. People are forgetting this is a cut and cover tunnel not a deep bore. In reality all a cut and cover tunnel is is a big trench with ...

Re: #Approved: 4 Star Hotel on Hindmarsh Island
My only thoughts are this and it is typical of Adelaide, how can anything be successful if people can't EASILY get there? I think a train line to Victor and on to Hindmarsh Island is a requirement for a multitude of reasons which I will choose not to elaborate greatly on now. I think you might need...
