[COM] Re: #PRO: 74-80 Light Square | 45m 13lvls Office (NOT REJECTED)
Have to agree with Prince George on this one. ... our city's squares are all large spaces, they need a healthy body of people around and in them to make sense of having them. Offices bring some number of people into the vicinity, but only 9-5 during the work-week, and they spend almost all of that i...

Re: Twitter
Does anyone use this frequently? Who do other people follow? Anyone particularly interesting or funny? Yes, fabulous social media tool! Great for connecting, sharing ideas in real time. Make use of @ for friends and use # hashtags and other search tools. Would be a useful adjunct to connect folk in...

Re: Little ideas for a big city
This is a thread for all those little ideas that come into your head (or at least my head) at random, that would improve the life of the people of Adelaide. What are your little ideas? Improved signage (physical) with maps and access options (interactive, mobile) to oft required information for res...

Re: #Proposed : Port Adelaide Tram Line
If this guy were really serious, he could ask for the police barracks, that tiddly little safety school and the old SA Water depot to be returned to Parkland. That would give a great entry to the city from North Terrace. The shoddy, delapidated police barracks, safety school, assorted storage/rail ...

Re: Adelaide's Public Transport digital future?
Onto the serious stuff - definitely agree the single zone ticketing has to go. Inner suburban users subsidise the outer suburban people - why? Makes no sense for your trip to town from Norwood to cost the same as in from Gawler. Go with more than two zones though Agree. I live reasonably close to t...

Re: #VIS: Riverside (Entertainment Precinct)
To all those worried about parking at any new CBD stadium, then you miss the whole point of having a CBD stadium directly located nearby major public transport. You wont need as much parking as AAMI stadium. The MCG and Etihad Stadium have limited parking as people use public transport to get there...

Re: #VIS: Riverside (Entertainment Precinct)
Don't build the new hospital on this iconic site! It is the ideal location for some version of the MHS plan for a broad, multipurpose sporting, recreational, entertainment, convention site, adjacent to the absolute essential of a transport hub. I can't understand the Rann government's fixation on bu...

Re: "Vision for Adelaide" - Adelaide Infra. & Parklands Pro.
Well done, James and the Vision for Adelaide team! It's great to see the passion, thinking, planning and action involved in this endeavour. We need overall vision, bold action and a 'can do' attitude rather than give in to the 'naysayers' who seem to stymie almost every reasonable proposal that come...

Re: City's new festive hub planned
I have to agree with SRW, waz, crawf and all the others who think the hub proposed by John Hill is in the WRONG place. It is so obvious that the Festival Plaza, Riverside, Elder Park precinct has so much more to offer with it's proximity to public transport, the river, recreation, entertainment, ame...

Re: Ideas on how to attract more people to SA?
Good thinking, Will! I like the re-branding ideas and the concept of gastronomical trails. Indulgence (long) weekends and short or longer holidays could be marketed domestically. Package the food and wine trails (I tried one of the cheese trails in McLaren Vale earlier this year) with accommodation ...
