Re: News & Discussion : New Restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs

Colour me sad. The old Supermild on Hindley st was one of Adelaide's better bars. Great music, eclectic crowd... sigh.

Agree with y'all, I love it (baring the blank wall). Will impact the area so well. Being mostly commercial does this mean it will move ahead faster (if approved) as it isn't awaiting apartment sales? I'm not familiar with how mostly commercial development works.

I agree it think it adds needed height and bulkto the area. Once all greened up it should look great.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

True, and I do like our food trucks but I think a little more can be done with the space? Even in a beautification sense, it feels sterile... I honestly prefer the feel of the Mall before the revamp as it had character. Just me though. Once better brands start to move in, I'm sure it will lift the M...

I have no interest in 'engaging' or 'debating' (either constructively or otherwise) with anyone who believes I should be entitled to less rights than them by virtue of who I love.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Queen St Mall in Brissie is one we should look to. It has been set up in such a way that is inviting and always a buzz.

Re: Port Adelaide | Developments & News

I was there in August and was so surprised with how they have cleaned it up. The Port use to feel so tired and dirty, but now it has a bit of a swagger to its step. It feels like they are making way for bigger things. The new restaurants and pubs surrounding the Admiral are a breath of fresh air. Yo...

This development doesn't look that dissimilar to the GPO. It is a slightly better design for sure, but even so I don't really understand how one can be so universally loved and the other despised. This is filling in some density and doing it in a graceful way, the GPO is a giant box sitting on the ...

Re: 207 Pulteney Street | 195m | 60 Levels | Mixed Use

Where should we be looking to? Renewable energy and the manufacturing of, say electric cars and innovative technology? We have a lot of research re medical institutions and the new hospital. Does this field not garner much revenue for the state? Apologies we are getting off topic. Going forward we n...
