19 minutes on the express train city to Port Adelaide, then 10-15 minutes walking to St Vincent St.......7 to 8 minutes walk when Port Dock station opens.
Perfect..read a book or listen to music on the train, then some exercise to get that weight under control.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
Still confused as to what-if any useful power these large scale storage plants offer the grid. Batteries offer the grid the quickest path to stability during times of "instability". If a large power generator (this can be coal, gas, wind or solar) trips out suddenly from the grid (one mom...

The ABC's Australian Story are doing a program on Whyalla/Sanjeev Gupta airing Monday September 24. Should be a good watch. I wonder if they'll have anything on Adani's involvement in the solar project here in SA, while over in Queensland they are destroying fresh water sources, or if it'll be anot...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
According to the Sonnen website the expected battery life is 20 years (yes technology might move on, but the battery will still do it's job!)
And their guarantee is 10 years.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
Now I am aware that this is just another subsidy (it isn't just middle class handout, such a boring trope ) but the people buying it are still taking the risk and the ownership of the obsolete battery in x amount of years, they are perfectly in their right to use it how they chose. Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
So the battery sudsidy is only applied to "South Australian manufactured" products? Is this the incentive (or government handout) for Sonnen to setup in Adelaide? Its a real tragedy that connection to a virtual power grid is not obligatory... this could lead to a situation where thousands ...
