Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Isn't the rail lease holder supposed to maintain the line in working condition? If so, it shouldn't be an issue to run a special service. That was how the deal was presented at the time, to reduce backlash from giving up the line, but it's well known that there has been no enforcement of that condi...

A bit more information from the following InDaily article: Questions over second Festival Plaza tower amid high CBD vacancy rates He also said there were “no arrangements or pre-commitments from the state government” to Walker Corporation and that the office space would be “private commercial space”...

The upgrade looks great and is well overdue. I don't think the people in the tenders represent the actual crowd though ... Where's Stumbling Sam, Drunk Dave and a random person throwing up in one of the new planter boxes? Hopefully the urban elements are all designed to take plenty of damage, inclu...

Random thought from when I was walking through the mall just after the shops had closed and needed a toilet... Wasn't part of the deal with this site getting the old public bathrooms for their building that they had to provide new publicly accessible bathrooms? The bathrooms they've built in the ar...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million
What do we, the public, as owners of the land, get out of this deal?
We've chipped in $220 million to pretty the plaza and prime rents for Walker in now two overheight towers on public land. Do we get reimbursed? Will Walker contribute to a concert hall or upgrade to Festival Centre? What's our ROI?

Some concept images have been released for Hindley Street upgrade: hindley1.jpg hindley2.jpg hindley3.jpg It has most of what I would expect for an upgrade: narrowed roadway, raised crossings, less parking, more trees. However, it looks like the footpath treatment will be mostly concrete with occass...

It would be foolish to not address Morphett Rd while they're closing the tram line for at least 9 months. Not only that, but Morphettville is due to be redeveloped with housing so this needs to happen sooner rather than later. Port Road is surely the most feasible location for a new depot. The gover...

This was one of Albanese's election commitments so it's good to see the $10 million contribution made good.

I have been here since 2007 and last week was the first time I've placed a user on ignore. But even that doesn't help overcome this one user's constant disruption to multiple threads.

'Residents to move in at the start of 2026'... I hope they can keep to the timeline on this project. I note that the Park Court site at Greenhill Rd is a similar model and nothing's happened there since demolition of existing homes early last year.

Shame they didn't repaint the building while they replaced the awning and fitted out Glassons.
