There is some crane scaffolding on the side of the North terrace/Bank street Student Accomodation - Urbanest.
I wonder whats going on there? Maybe they're dismantling the building.

[U/C] Re: 145-159 King William Street (GPO) Westin Hotel | 61m | 16 Levels | Hotel
250 permanent jobs is great but there's something about this that screams Echelon / softiel. All talk, no build. In regards to design, I doubt it will change much if you've seen Westin hotels. They all look the same inside and out. I know this because I stay in one every day on my many travels (one ...

Theres a big Kyren sign glowing blue on the crane at night. The crane is huge for a hammerhead. Quite the spectacle.

Re: Tv Series "Fucking Adelaide!"
Lately the ABC has been developing a bit of a potty mouth trying to be edgy and relevant to the youth of today. I watched a little bit of it but was a little bored. It's the same format as every other ABC Black Comedy. Make a statement, show a response to that statement, drop an F-bomb, space for la...

Re: The mighty Port Adelaide Football Club should field a team in the World Cup
Scotland field a team, Wales field a team, they're regions of the UK, Port Adelaide is a region of Australia. Why not field the mighty Port Adelaide Power Football Club? We're always talking about going global and how the AFL is holding us back. They said it was impossible for Port to be in the AFL...

I don't think anybody has a problem with you posting. At the end, you could compile each picture together and we could do a timelapse from start to finish.

Personally, it reminds me of a Dubaiesque Manhattan with stripes of Coruscant but each to their own.

I was looking at the blank western wall today. I have had a change of heart. I don't think it detracts from the building at all. The nice glazing on the other sides helps a lot and in a way, it kind of makes the law-courts stand out. Provided it's covered with a more consistent paint or shade, it sh...

What a bunch of whingers. 52C degrees in your apartment? Oh poor you. Oh your window shattered due to heat pressure? Boo hoo. Your blinds melted from the insane magnifying effect? Waaa. They should be happy that they even have heat, blinds and windows . A lot of people in the world would desire thos...

Not trying to be negative but there are some potential sales issues. Does anyone know what the tenant next door at 268, does in the blue stone building with all the darkened windows and secure monitored door? Does not seem like a family environment. Also there is a large microwave communications to...

Looks like there will be a major concrete pour around the lift well when they finish sealing the excavation and services - the building seems a long way behind schedule I don't usually point the finger but hayds from the skyscrapercity forum seems like he has had in for Adelaide for years. Now we'v...

Re: My Basic Vision for Adelaide: From a Planning Perspective
The idea is about as stupid as nuclear powered trains. It's not going to happen. That’s odd. I don’t think I read “take Shuz’s shutdowns” anywhere in that vision... hence it actually being a vision. Did you happen to see that somewhere? Or are you still popping balloons and smearing birthday cake o...

It’s a little ironic that it’s called Sky Adelaide when there’s a building almost twice it’s size just down the road. The name would probably have worked nicely back in 2010.
