[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
For example, a trench or tunnel around Cross Road was not viable because of groundwater. Well, something has to go underground at Cross Rd if they're going to grade separate all of the Motorway, South Rd x Cross Rd, and the railway line. Labor's plan in the Scoping Report was for, basically, a dupl...

Looking forward to the state government paying the same amount of money to them to only do maintenance on the roads the transport industry double dip pays for, and nowhere else

Where are the Army's Chinooks based? Does it have the spare capacity to add firefighting to its role, including the different training that would be required, and increased maintenance? Townsville, where we have 10 brand new builds of the latest variant. The old models were retired in 2016, with 2 ...

They've also started finalising the bus "interchanges", which are really just extended bus pull ins either side of South Rd opposite the sporting grounds/Laffers triangle that aren't all that close to the new train station.

Rail in a trench under Brighton Rd, Hove moved 200m further along to the more accessible and wider space at Caroona Ave x Railway Tce, Warradale Station deleted, hope they can save as many mature trees as possible, get it done. You know what, they should bite the bullet and trench it all the way fro...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
The G22X might be a quick journey but it's a peak-only express, the normal G20 and G21 takes between 30-45 minutes for the part between Flinders and the route end at King William Road. The timetable for the peak-only G22X still lists Flinders to King William as around 30 minutes. Compare that to th...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I can only speak for the Aberfoyle and Blackwood areas for local buses but all of the routes in this area are near identical to the current network. The new Aberfoyle-Flinders-Marion 330 is identical to the current 320; the G22X express from Aberfoyle is now the X331 and terminates at Flinders for ...

Been many years since I used Majors road, has traffic increased enough on this spot to even warrant an entry/exit for this road? Surely the existing South Road or Lonsdale are adequate to acces Majors? There is little traffic on the road with nearly nothing built on it. Only the suburbs of Hallett ...

None of the toll road operators wants to do it in Adelaide because there's no profit in it, words to me from a friend involved in the "Is it a bridge, a trench, or a tunnel?" process with DPTI and the government. The reason the transport industry are in favour of tolls is the exact reason ...

O Bahn buses sure, but nothing else I catch ever does. Although to be fair with no football this season, I've caught a train once all year.
