[VIS] Re: 33 Pirie Street - Concept
Trust me, I know what this building looks like, and whilst I am usually a fan of sarcasm, I dont make mis-informed statements without doing my research. For YOUR information, this building has been described by the Australian Heritage Places Inventory as follows An unusual example of the application...

I personally do not like such developments. They ruin the heritage building. The Epworth Building is one of the most significant early 'high-rise' buildings in Adelaide, and a rare example of gothic multi-storey architecture. I hope the integrity of this building is never threatened by such an out ...

Re: Save the Rundle Mall Glass Lifts
haha they should bring back Dazzleland, that rollercoaster was awesome... kinda sad about that place today is that everything is on the ground or terrace levels What's sad is that apparently when the Myer Centre was being designed/built, the developers consultants told them not to build the now un-...

Goodmans are leaving the project for various reasons not associated with the viability of the Hills Project. H&Y are continuing to move ahead with their usual professionalism on this project as well as the Wave and Edge projects across the road. (Note great crane photos under those projects). H...

I don't understand, I thought we are meant to be in a "mining boom"? So where are all the companies that need office space?? Rann should try (as he has tried with BHP, not sure how much success) and direct some head office's back to SA if they are going to be mining in our state. We are i...

Lilly Nominees is a holding company, thus no website. All of the others are consultants and usually only list projects on the website when they are completed (and in some cases, when the buildings are a significant way through construction). Do we know who is doing the marketing (sourcing of tenant...

ok, so i'm a bit worried. I'd love this to go ahead but surfing all these associated websites turned up ZERO references :-( * Lilly Nominees - don't have a website, nor a south australian listing in the white pages * Tecvts (tectvs.com.au) - presumably the architects, but no mention of this project...

Re: The Great Centro sell-off begins
An interesting not about Harris Scarfe at Arndale: Anyone remember the 2nd floor (above where HS is)? Last I knew HS was using it as an area to stockpile faulty goods to send back to their suppliers for refund. As far as I know they had no intention of doing anything else with it as they did not wa...

Centro will keep selling until they are back in the black. If they keep Arndale, they wont be doing anything to it until all debt is cleared.Howie wrote:Wow, wonder what's happening with Centro Arndale. They've stopped work there since this whole saga started.

Re: World First Rotating Tower in Dubai
I think I read elsewhere that the architect for this one was a "pipe dreamer" who lacked credibility... He probably is, but dont forget this is Dubai... they are constantly laughing in the face of possibility. Look at the Burj Al Arab hotel... that was designed by a bunch of junior archit...

The Great Centro sell-off begins
Jones Lang LaSalle have just listed for sale four of Centro's shopping centres in a portfolio estimated to be worth $1.15b.
One of the properties in the portfolio is Centro Collonades (50% interest).
There is an article in the SMH today (pg 29) if anyone is interested...
