Re: #Article: State needs 115 homes a week to cater for growth
Very interesting indeed! It should be noted that SA has been losing population for some years to the other states - to see a gain is encouraging - with more to come one would speculate. SA - STATE ON THE MOVE The state is still losing people to interstate migration. We had a net loss of around 4000...

There are 2 cores going up on the hotel. Maybe a service elevator going in?

saw them painting this the other day, they've painted the length of the platform they had hanging down. They will paint the left hand side when they move the platform across and all the way down to the bottom.AtD wrote:I hope they intend to paint the entire western face.

Re: Concept: Multi-Purpose Stadium
My prefered space for a stadium would be on the other side of Adelaide oval on the adelaide golf course south, on the corner of Morphett and memorial drive. Its an area already a designated for sport and rec, if you build it into the ground a bit the residence of Nth adelaide wont be to pissed off. ...

Re: Adelaide's Own 'Federation Square'
You have to attract people to this area before anything. One way of making this area more of a tourist attraction would be to develop the festival theatre into a S.A. history museum and interactive science (gugenheim?) museum, open up the torrens side as well to allow visitors to enjoy our mud flats...

Re: #ONH: $60m State Swimming Centre
Is it just me, or does it seem that this is less an aquatic centre and more a 50m swimming pool surrounded by seats? It's all well and good to have new training and competition facilities, but I haven't heard head nor tail of the inclusion of more leisure-oriented facilities like lagoon-esque pools...

Re: Development on Westend railyards
From what I understand, the schools didn't have a clue about the Marj, and heard about it like everyone else did, through the news (edit: did someone say 'consultation'?). So they've been scurrying around trying to get accommodation for this imminent move. Nothing has been set in concrete, and it's...

Re: [] CBD Development: General
That very last sentence should be noted - "Few large office developments were expected to be built because of difficulties in getting finance." I would put my bet that signals the end of 20-22 Currie, Planet and Yorke Commercial Campus projects. Maybe this is true, but who really can tell...
