Re: News & Discussion : New Restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs

SuperBueno on Gouger Street and Fat Controller in Station Arcade are closing by year's end.

But on opposite ends, Aces will soon open in the former Optus on the corner of Monta St, and Station Arcade Club has opened in the long vacant former basement food court.

Thanks for the photos, Andy! It's a seriously impressive paving job. Wish Rundle Mall had got something more like this during its revamp. In saying that, from your photo looks like Walker got their way with fewer trees in front of the building entrance, thereby breaking the avenue planting: https://...

There’s some work happening to the building on site (windows have been removed, inside looked gutted). I couldn’t tell if it was the start of demolition, but perhaps this is finally underway.

Apparently 80% sold, so potentially next apartment block to start. Though it does seem they have some of the high price stock remaining.

Anyone know what's going on the with the Telstra Exchnage building on Waymouth Street? Gantries have gone up around the building and half the carpark adjacent to it has been closed off. I asked about a year or more ago, that's how long they've been up for no discernible purpose. No one knew anythin...

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

Surely the car park could have been either buried or partially buried on its current porposed site or under the hospital itself? An eight storey block takes away from any design merits they are hoping to achieve with the facade of this new hospital… I think I mentioned earlier, but the nRAH contain...

Early works package of $300 Million approved with construction of the massive eight (8!) storey, 1300 space car park and 'energy' building due to start in new year. The structure appears to be sheathed with perforated steel screens in contrast with previous designs showing plantings. But, for laughs...

The Courts continue to raise the alarm about detoriating facilities, particularly around space and accessibility. The government should be upfront about whether this land is still available for courts expansion and, if so, what they plan to do with the staging post when that time comes. https://inda...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

I'd argue that the fact they're able to build on essentially gifted land and flood the market with commercial space is a contributing factor for proposals in the CBD not advancing. My problem is not that something is built here (good!) but that it be to best public benefit whether that's usage, desi...
