Re: Kmart coming in with the wrecking ball.
When I worked in that centre (at the time they also built the Drakes) about 10 years ago, there was always a possibility for a department store to go in between the 2 supermarkets, so without getting past the paywall, I'm not sure why they'd need to demolish for this. The space still looks to be the...

Re: SA Economy
But there are a lot of boarded up shops in the suburbs. It's noticeable at Hallett Cove, and worse at Noarlunga where half the downstairs level of Colonnades is boarded up No argument with Hallett Cove, the food court is miserable, with only Wendy's left. EB games in closing in the coming days, and...

Re: News & Developments: Prospect
When Masters pulled out, the Noarlunga store was nowhere near completion. They continued working on it until it was finished (minus branding). So who's to know when they'll finish up with the Kaufland building.

Yes I agree and its good there’s no change to Mile End. I heard that they will be closing the Marion Bunnings with the next Westfield expansion/re-development. Does anyone know if they will come back once it’s finished? I don't believe so. They built the edwardstown store to the north and the Reyne...

This upgrade is progressing well. There were some delays with the travellator but the new one is up and running now. The old escalator down the (former) Myer end is in the process of being removed too. Alongside the travellator they have cut back 2-3 metres of all the shops to widen the walkway (as ...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments
A Bunnings is being built on Panalatinga Road at Reynella, on the old winery factory site (between Pimpala and Reynell Roads, on the western/northbound side).

Will be good to see this part of the centre getting an upgrade. It's looking a bit tired and there are so many vacant stores down here.. https://i1.au.reastatic.net/2a5fa6044ef0e1c573b3cdb96eff308ea4c9699a510c4e6daea1588feb44f044/document0.pdf Looks like the back half of Myer will become a new mini-...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
Hi Bits, where did you hear this? I work for Coles, they are highly promoting that all metro stores will be open 11-5 Monday including radio ads constantly. Im currently working in a small store (North East) that's open Monday and my old small store (South) is also open. Sent from my SM-G960F using ...

Landscaping in Darlington already seems have commenced this werk. The northbound lanes between Sturt Road and the Sutton/Mimosa bridge (or slightly north) already has some irrigation pipes laid and soil. This is adjacent the inner surface lanes in a small section where the final concrete barrier is ...

The government should really be buying any property along any of its future corridors when it pops up for sale, for a much cheaper price than it could be in 10 years time, the rent it out until it needs to be demolished. No extra cost to compensate owners relocating. No hassle of people feeling like...

Was a good day and well set up. Would have been nice if more tours were guided though as it was almost 2 hours from when I got there until the next available one, so just took a basic one. Who recorded the live Facebook video? I was on that same tour! (I can tell because of the lady getting out of h...

Primo seem to do alright in Marion, and they have similar range of restaurants in close proximity. Theres Grill'd and a sushi place right there, then a TGIs, San Churro and Verve (not sure of their menu but looks gourmet) on the opposite side of the cinema. And Spargos in between too. Also a question regarding this tunnel that's being investigated, if they did go with a cut and cover tunnel, how would they deal with traffic management? Surely they wouldn't demolish properties forg a temporary road?

I'm not a fan of the new lights at brookside because its clearly on a pooly timed program, not based on traffic volumes and southbound south road traffic banks up pretty far in evening peak. Interpeak is fine in either direction so far. I haven't experienced morning peak so can't comment on anything...
