Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
Fantastic to formalise the target, and easily achievable (I would be surprised if they didn't reach 750MW of storage by 2020-22 given some of the investments that are currently UC and what I have seen coming down the pipeline).

Re: 2018 South Australian State Election
Some are, some aren't but even were state and federal subsidies exist the balance (and typically the majority) is private capital.

Re: 2018 South Australian State Election
Basically every renewables project built/ under construction/ under planning (even if there was some level of State government facilitation or investment) are largely funded by interstate and overseas capital.

Re: 2018 South Australian State Election
Labor. I'm from a background/ demographic that should be liberal but what interests me are positive outcomes for the state in what amounts to very difficult structural economic conditions that have faced SA since the 80s. From an economic perspective, we don't have the East coast's natural advantage...

[U/C] Re: Sealing the Strzelecki Track
Needs to happen, the track is in utterly atrocious condition for a major transport corridor and make the birdsville track look like freshly paved tarmac.

[SWP] Re: Former RAH Site (Design Competition)
As much as I dislike utilising parklands for private development which isn't community orientated - if the buildings are already there and heritage, would love to see this building and its next door neighbor as a residential or hotel conversion. Superficially well suited for it and could help fund s...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre - Stage 3 | $350m
Again so sad to think this didn't happen... and we ended up with three miss matched elements that do nothing to integrate with their surroundings. The restaurants part of the latest extension feels like an afterthought. I only hope more is added and the vision makes sense once the Riverbank develop...

Re: Another widespread power outage in SA
It's disappointing though how much of Turnbull & co's misinformation around SA's energy transition is allowed to go unchallenged in the media. They're barefaced liars on the matter. As churlish as Weatherill's gatecrash might come across, they needed to be called out and in some ways I wish he'...

EDIT: Lol Jay crashes the presser and unloads on Frydenberg on live TV http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-03-16/josh-frydenberg-and-jay-weatherill-trade-blows/8359074  About time someone called out Frydenberg, Turnbull, et al on their contradictory rhetoric and failures. Thoroughly enjoyed this a...

Re: Another widespread power outage in SA
The irony in all this is that a shift to greater than 50% renewables will end up being market driven anyway (baring interference from vested political and economic interests). The cost of grid/ user level storage is at a point where the rollout of significant amounts of storage capacity is inevitabl...

Re: Another widespread power outage in SA
The blatant politisiation of the the power outages by the Fed Libs is a complete and utter disgrace and the definition of "fake news". These blackouts have been caused by a variety of factors include 1) weather events 2) predatory price fixing behaviour by generators 3) The infamous operat...

Re: Uber
JAKJ, I believe that Uber is operating here in Adelaide as they were advertising for drivers about a month ago. I wouldn't imagine that the money invovled in driving for Uber would be too good. Last time I was in Adelaide (two weeks ago) they only had uber black not uber x, but I wouldn't be surpri...
Re: Uber
Uber black is more expensive, but they use "town cars" i.e. Holden Caprices. Uber x is cheaper (30% cheaper) than taxis, however they have not launched in Adelaide yet (I exclusively use them in Perth as no patiences for crappy taxis anymore). I have found Uber X to provide a great service...

it doesn't get much clearer than that! Oh really? And this is what I asked... Is anyone able to compile a list of proposals for this site, the year they were proposed, and whether council approved or rejected the proposal? It couldn't have been put any clearer. You didn't have to give us a pointles...
