Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development

Corner pirie and Frome. https://120frome.com.au/ According to Google Maps this one will be built where Knapman House (RSB Building) and Frome Centre (SATAC Building) are currently. I hav...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Why do the think that it will take up to two years? Most of that time will most likely be for the defit of the building (asbestos removal, disconnection of building services, removal of plumbing, .etc). North Wing is also a pretty huge building and has many basement floors as well that are much lar...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Ok, so I think I can provide some information regarding the latest pictures as I have worked at the RAH whilst it operated at this site. 1. This first picture is of the former Adelaide Dental Hospital. I don’t know much about this one as when I started work the dental hospital had already moved to t...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

It seems that demolition has officially started on the main buildings (Theatre, Outpatients & Emergency Blocks) The lift box on top of the helipad is now covered in green scaffolding and most windows have been removed from the buildings. Pics below

Looks like this one will be starting soon. The other day when I went past there were workmen on site putting up signage and covering the fence with some sort of black cloth.

[COM] Re: 73-85 Pirie Street | 89m | 22 Levels | Office

Before anyone gets too upset, I recall reading in an article that Pelligra Group are planning on buying the Allianz building next door to this and demolishing that to make way for a large mixed use office/hotel development.

Not what most here would have been hoping for. Lets hope those artist impressions are miles off.
Those renders are placeholder images, the same ones used during the election.

[APP] Re: 51 Pirie Street | ~110m | 28 Levels | Hotel

Not related to this site, but I saw this in an article about the developer of the Lionsgate Project at Elizabeth and thought it would fit well here. While Whyalla fits the Pelligra template of investing in low-key, industrial development - he is working on seemingly no end of industrial parks and sh...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Do we really need to have that many tram lines though? Just look how the last extension went, over 100 million for less than a kilometre of track and plagued by defects, plus would anyone other than inner-city yuppie urbanists take a tram all the way to outer harbour when there is a train that could...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Went past this site on the weekend and demolition has been completed on the old ED and is currently underway on the former entrance foyer. The demolition shouldn't be too extensive though, as the recent renders of the site indicate that the Theatre & Outpatient buildings are being kept but compl...
