[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
I shouldn't be negative, but I'm praying that this structure won't result in a permanent snails pace speed restriction like what the trams have on a bridge over South Rd that was just built a few years ago

... For example the Gawler line.....40 kms of barren wasteland next to the line, train stations that 3rd world countries would reject, plenty of opportunity to plan and integrate development around rebuilt train stations. Strange, last time I travelled on the Gawler line I passed freight distributi...

[CAN] Re: 51-57 Hutt Street | 43m | 12 Levels | Mixed
Much needed perfect addition to the area This is the second time you've made such a statement, and once again there is absolutely nothing to back up you up. What exactly is wrong with this part of Hutt Street? It's thriving and businesses are doing well along there... WTF, the only thing thriving i...

Pretty embarrassing that the government can consider stuff like food trucks high priority but when it comes to important stuff like health we get this :x http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/ambos-crews-deal-with-one-of-its-busiest-nights-that-left-just-one-free-crew-across-metro-adel...

exactly Monot. Unfortunately, Algernon has been trolling skyscrapercity for a couple of months now as Jacobsian, and must be getting bored of that so its now time to troll here and dribble complete nonsense, great  Can't wait for his next installment I'm speaking in support for a high rise de...

the only thing I miss from Rundle St in 1990s was the graffiti basketball court where the now Nova cinema is. I remember those markets where the Palace cinema now is, they were just a shitty type of Brickworks markets that were hardly ever busy. Id rather have the current setup such as Ebenezor Plac...

...And the misplaced nostalgia for the East End just isn't productive here. When I grew up the place positively thumped - you didn't just have the Fringe every couple of years, you had the Grand Prix, markets, weird French naked artists walking around in nothing but body paint and getting arrested,...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
just as an edit, Ive seen many other cities (similar to the no right turn flashing lights in Pulteney St during peak hour) put large neon 'give way to pedestrians' lights at intersections in places like Melbourne. They need to be installed in Adelaide CBD urgently, or introduce permanent red arrows,...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
yep, Ive also seen heaps of near misses at the corner of North Tce and Gawler Place with right hand turning cars zooming into the path of pedestrians. Also the same at Rundle St/East Tce. Every intersection of Hutt st is unsafe for pedestrians. WTF do we do, is this acceptable that its now completel...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
todays accident at the Hutt St/Wakefield intersection where a pedestrian was run over by a righthand turning car is something I see near misses of every single day of the year along Hutt St. We urgently need to ban all green light right hand turns immediately and introduce red arrows. Its become so ...

Re: SA Budget 2016: Adelaide tramline to be extended to East
Had a look at the 3 likely places for new tram stops along North Tce. 1st likely at Gawler Pl/War memorial and 3rd at East Tce opp. old RAH /Botanic Gdns. Only one that really could be discussed is whether better to have 2nd tram stop at Puteney St opp Adelaide Uni or at next intersection at Frome ...

Re: Negativity in Adelaide
If you were a tourist coming to Australia from overseas, would you come to Adelaide? Having been to America and had no problems finding things to do, Adelaide would get boring in about half a day. Yes there's museums and beaches, but they're no different to the rest of Australia. There is no one si...

Re: Negativity in Adelaide
Just a case of the grass is always greener on the other side I think. All my friends that Come to Adelaide think it's great. People go to Melbourne and Sydney for a weekend. Stay in a nice hotel, go to a cool cafe, a nice bar, visit attractions and come back and go on about how they want to move th...
