Such a shame they had to destroy that station in the 60s, The station use to have longer platforms and a large roof over the platforms and tracks, That area under the station was part of the station buildings hence why you have those "fancy iron poles there.

Dubai will also have the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 in a permanent dry dock as a floating hotel/museum in the island development. Sort of like the Queen Mary in America.

I would hope amongst all this, that there are plans to redo the wiring and platforms down the southern end of KWS. Question for you guys. Why are the tram tracks still wide apart when crossing Grote St? I understand that the platform stop will be just south of Grote street, but why don't the tracks start to close in after the stop, like along King W st? Poles have gone up at the western side of North Tce, They are just plain poles with a merged finial in the form of point, brakets are yet to be installed.
