Just had confirmation:

The crane is due for installation on 7 June 2008 and should remain on site until 23 May 2009.

The crane is a Favco 380.

I don;t know much about cranes...Is this the sort of crane being used at the Gallery?

I think preparations are being made on KW street for a crane base. Looks like the main concrete pour will be in the next week or so.

Thread may want to change to under construction as it seems the basement levels are being dug out as of today.

Is anyone else perplexed as to how a 10 level hotel can be proposed by the airport itself within metres of the runway yet the ACC have height limits of less then 8 levels on parts of West Terrace and throughout the CBD because of "airport restrictions"....

Its 16 levels and 46.7m tall.

Will the DA says 15 levels and if it was only 46.7m it would be less then 3m per floor?

It's 15 levels and not sure of exact height but think it is 55m
