I believe that the last minute or so wasn't a rooftop cafe, but was actually an upgrade of hughes plaza.... Its a little decieving.

the public transport plans were incredible, and with the exception of abandoning the glenelg tram it all seems possible today, although a KWS subway would have an enormous cost

4) It will cost 10 to 20 times more, in todays dollars, than if MATS had have been carried out instead.

I think that transadelaide clearly has a lot of dead wood - i am all for some sort of privatisation model, be it similar to the busses or otherwise. You just have to walk through Adelaide train station to see the amount of dead wood - workers just standing around trying to look busy etc. And do they...

Had the delays as lead news item on Ch 10 news. Martin Hamilton Smith was interviewed at the railway station. In typical fashion, he did make reference to the tram system basically saying "95% of commuters use trains and buses, not trams. Fix it Pat". Words to that affect anyway. To a cer...
