Re: Adelaide to Host F1 Racing Again??

No breakaway series afterall, much expected by everyone. FIA and FOTA has come to an agreement, FOTA will honour Max's teams budget-cut request, not as soon as next year but in 2 years, and Max has agreed to step down immediately. Of course, similar threats between them all this while may tell a dif...

Re: Adelaide to Host F1 Racing Again??

HOT ON THE HEELS of FOTA’s announced intent to establish a breakaway F1 series next year, a number of European media outlets (and an Australian one) are quoting from a leaked document outlining the calendar and track list for next year’s breakaway F1 series. Most interesting… except that many are p...

Why not join the fanfare. I think this is a great building too and I don't think it's a typical apartment building at all. I like what they've done with it. It's probably my favourite of the recent development so kudos to the developers. :D Developments like these are bulking up the skyline, now we...

Website slows

Anyone experiencing website slows?

It happens to me occasionally especially when posting new thread or replies, it takes ages to load though it does work afterall (just a bit of a long wait).

[COM] Re: #U/C: Aurora on Pirie | 54/57m | 14/15lvls | Office

I don't mind the lower levels of the structure, where they used reflective glass. But on the upper levels, where the facade has started to break up and is setback from the street, it looks a bit distorted. They also opted for the cheaper 'see-through' glass on the upper levels. Not a whole lot of c...

Re: Indy for Adelaide?

Indy racing isn't that all-international, more like Americans-only race events. I personally do not think it would be of any benefits to SA at all if we were keen to use the Clipsal 500 track. However, having a dedicated international standard race-track close/around the metropolitan area would crea...

Re: When Lightning Strikes World's Tallest Building

I'm not sure if the spire are meant to do that, but it must be scary if you are in that building itself, all steel structures must have been electrocuted (if that's the word to use :D)

When Lightning Strikes World's Tallest Building

The images from Dubai is spectacular, the lightning sure does hit the spire real hard. http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/1453/45064767.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/8636/17293501.jpg http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/205/58787011.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/8813/78622535.jpg http://img...

Re: Tour Down Under will get some airtime in the States

It's just Victoria and its whole state of media that has nothing to rant or whinges about that they turn to us to shunt at. No offence to their people and their city in general, just some attention seeking journalist and politicians who behaves like dogs. Every sports has got its darkside, the racis...

Re: #Article: Adelaide architects failing in top-end design

Sorry to respond to an old thread, but the silly chase to earn the greenhouse rating thing dumbs all design to what it is today. All the recently constructed buildings which earned the most greenhouse ratings have the most boring designs ever. The use of all glass-facades can be a little overkill so...

Re: Hotel Accommodation in Sydney

Thanks for the recommendations guys, booked my hotel through Wotif.com.au. I booked it via that website for my Melbourne accommodation last time too, and to be honest, there are so much more good affordable accommodations in Sydney and Melbourne, they are so competitive that it is mainly 4.5-5 stars...

[COM] Re: #CAN: Hills House | 60m | 15lvls | Office

Read in the paper yesterday that it was canceled as one of its partner had pulled out due to the economy crisis and that Hills owed millions of dollars to the developer (or something like that) in the planning, approval, and design fees. And they are suing Hills in court for that matter. What a sham...

Hotel Accommodation in Sydney

Hi guys

I'm going on a short trip to Sydney soon, just wondering if anyone could recommend a nice hotel to stay in. Preferably an ideal location for around $150-180 / night.

Any recommendations?
