[U/C] Re: Magill/Portrush Road Intersection Upgrade | $98m
There needs to be median bus lanes on Magill Rd from Portrush Rd into the city. That will relieve most of the congestion for buses and it won't cost much. Seeing buses fly past while sitting in traffic will encourage a shift to public transport too. I agree in principle, but Magill Road is quite na...

Adelaide Metro trams being trialled in the snow of Ploiești. r_uO6xNnczk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_uO6xNnczk I know, I know, that's not literally an Adelaide Flexity, but it looks soooo close in the same livery. A brief amount of internet research has returned nothing on why they chose the s...

Re: Extending the Riverbank and moving railtracks underground
Welcome to the forum! This has been discussed on this forum before and it's something that I think will happen eventually. Usually, this idea is combined with a CBD rail tunnel to connect Gawler/Outer Harbor/Grange with Seaford/Tonsley/Belair lines without terminating. The government has discussed t...

Re: Relocating the Government House
I don't want to see our heritage destroyed, but also locking up that land for the viceroy is a waste. Move the Governor to somewhere less disruptive and then we can re-purpose Government House. Government House could become a museum and the surrounding garden a public park.

Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport
I think the mid-term future for the rail corridor could lie somewhere between all the recent posts on here - how about extending Adelaide Metro services one more stop to Concordia from Gawler Central, integrating the new station with a bus interchange that would serve both LinkSA and private operat...

This is what I don't like about the project. Other buildings shouldn't look out of place compared to parliament.

CommSecs State of the States report has been released for the March '20 quarter. Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
There is no reason to wait until Gawler is finished before commencing OH. There is seriously rivers of money on offer, and both projects could run together. Now that light rail to the northwest appears dead, how have they not even come up with a plan at least for electrification of the main line? I...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
The best solution is a consumer cooperative takes over Virgin and then dominates the market. That way we don't need to have multiple airlines for the sake of competition to lower prices, the cooperative just runs the airline with no intention of making a profit.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
One factor that could be affecting the length of trains last week and this week is the closure of the Gawler line between Adelaide and Salisbury with occupations for track and electrification work. It may be that access to the depot for OH, Grange and Belair trains is either not possible or is sign...

With coronavirus, there is much less demand for public transport. They could cut back every train to one or two carriages.I Follow PAFC wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 10:45 amAdelaide metro are starting to cut the number of carriages on some of the Outer Harbor trains.
