Townhouses? What a waste of prime TOD land.
Apartments would be ideal but maybe Government wanted to avoid nimbys objecting to high rises

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Should be rail trench from just before Parafield to just after Park Terrace. And connect Frost Road to Spains Road providing a new east-west connection thus taking pressure off of Park Terrace and Kings Road.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

What other heritage things need to be restored to Adelaide Railway Station? This is just my observational opinion, but the sealed spaces (such as on the left in my photo above) should be opened up for all, or at least put to good use. A bigger item and a pipe dream of sorts would be to return the c...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

I'd much rather money spent on more and more car subsidising parking spaces put into improving the feeder bus service instead. It's good during AM/PM peak but during the day and on weekends theres plenty of room for improvement. The 541G provides east-west connection. A new east-west route from Wyn...

Imo the Gepps Cross site would be best reserved for future expansions of Roma Mitchell College or a national park/urban forest

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

Plans are being submitted for a $20mil upgrade of the old 36ers arena at Findon, to become a “sporting and events Mecca” sorry, but this just makes no sense to me, given the lack of public transport, or other food and entertainment venues nearby, or even adequate road access. Surely a venue proposi...

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

Not sure where to post this, but I note with dismay, they are still flogging that dead horse at Findon, the 36ers arena? Is it true? There could not be a worse location, tucked away off of a main arterial, hemmed in by low density housing with bugger all transport links. If true tge state governmen...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Adelaide has 89 railway stations. These could be used as hubs to send and receive parcels, like the parcel lockers at Australia Post. Parcels would automatically be loaded to/from trains so parcels will move across the network faster than the post. It could even be fast enough for food deliveries, ...

[U/C] Re: Main South Road & Victor Harbor Road Upgrade

It's also worth pointing out just how much growth this area has experienced. When they did the Victor Harbor Road Junction 10ish years ago, the finished works were great and held up capacity! Prior to that, Victor Harbor Road northbound had one lane turning right through a stop sign, into their own...

With 3 of 6 lines been electrified and getting modern electric trains , its only a matter of time until Outer Harbor, Grange and Belair Line commuters ask when do we get ours.

Seacliff Village looks cool especially the proposed retail area. https://villawoodproperties.com.au/community/seacliff-village/find-buy/now-selling-at-seacliff-village/ What used to be on that site? Streetview shows screening trees removed about 5 years ago, but doesn't seem to go far enough for a ...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

The speed restrictions were put in place towards the later end of Weatherill's gov surely? And even then it was a safety measure to prevent accidents like that of Paradise in 2016 and vibrations on the Scanias. State Government should of stuck with Mercedes-Benz O405NH, 1542 runs smoothly on the O-...
