[COM] Re: Coles Norwood Redevelopment | 8 Lvls

The well grown plane trees that kept many shoppers' cars in the shade during summer (old car park) are gone with the realignment of the parking spots. The new trees planted will not be a good substitute. The sheltered area for the disabled parking in the original plans non existent. Just like the c...

[COM] Re: Coles Norwood Redevelopment | 8 Lvls

I will add a couple more things: Paying for parking after the two hour free period. This should not have been allowed by whomever. How many supermarket open air carparks are there that charged? Disgraceful. No verandah or awning on the western side left open to rain and the southwesterlies. Mascava...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

A "free connector" would never get off the ground, there is no money at Adelaide Metro to do that.....but does the local council run a community bus? Personally I would like to see the 254 extended to Semaphore on a permanent basis. It already exists in this form as a night bus and would ...

[PRO] Re: Westfield Marion (2019/20 Extension)

It appears that Mrs Fields cafe by Coles has closed down, it wasn't open yesterday when I saw whether it was open for lunch.

Is that a subtle way of saying Westfield wanted to jack the rent and Australia Post told them to go shove it

Re: South Rd works

Busways don't want buses having to dawdle along South Road to stay on time so the schedule between Bedford Park and Grote Street is designed to be tight.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

Adelaide City Council ought to lift the bus/truck ban on Barton Terrace then, the current bus zone for charters is on Fitzroy Terrace.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council

Pleased to see this week an acknowledgement, led by the new Lord Mayor, that maintenance of the city and its parklands has been profoundly neglected in recent years. It seems moves are underway to finally pull us out of a shabby decline: https://indaily.com.au/opinion/2023/04/24/autumn-leaves-cant-...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

The obvious method of doing this would be to run trams from Glenelg to Cross Road, then a short shuttle bus to Marion Road where trams would then take passengers to the city. Say stop 9 to stop 11. That would involve a new crossover for trams to reverse, and possibly electrical works for overhead d...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

This is a worthy project no doubt but it's rolled out in the typical SA fashion of one project at a time with no long term planning. If the corridor is going to be closed for 9 months why not do the overpass/underpass at Morphett Rd, Goodwood Rd (and potentially) Greenhill Rd at the same time??? Bu...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Recently I watched a video on Youtube of a redhen running between Bridgewater and Adelaide, it took about 50 minutes from Bridgewater to Adelaide and that ran semi express (all stops to Belair, then express to Blackwood then express to Adelaide). Mind you it did have to wait in a passing loop before...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Anecdotally, the maintenance of my local station has improved markedly since KDA too over infrastructure maintenance. Graffiti is normally removed within a couple of days with, as far as I know, nobody reporting it. Under DIT it would sometimes takes weeks of reporting to get someone to paint over ...
