Can't thank you enough. It's easier to navigate around the construction lists.

Not sure what you specifically mean, but I had the idea of having it as a sticky at the head of the C.B.D. index as that is the aea it is focussed on. Or, to have it as the entry point to the site - specifically listed at the start of the index board.

A top idea aid. - REALLY APPRECIATED. :D :D :D :D I had the idea about 8 months ago but just did not have the It knowledge to fully implement it. Have a hard copy of my version (from Oct.2008 till now) for all projects over 10 floors - proposed, approved, U/C.

It's an excellent way to see trends, height changes, plot ratios, for future planning of such as tramlines etc., visuals at a glance, buiolding function interrelationships, Interesting to see the KWS sth developments.

^^^^^^What Howie means mate is when you click on the link it overides the S-A link rather than open in a new window.

Great work Adam and as others have said easy to search for a specific development. Thanks mate.

Yes that's what i meant. Although Adam reminded me that you can hold control or shift and it'll bring it up in a new window anyhow making my suggestion superfilous. :)

Thumbnails a top idea!! I am very impressed. Great for someone not living in Adelaide.

Another idea - making links to prospective developers and Adelaide tourism sites, ACC, David Campbell etc etc.

An excellent 'forward'/intro to the site.

I'm not sure how that would tie in with the buildings list. That might be an idea for a separate thread.

What I was getting at was drawing the people such as ACC to the awareness of such a map and possibly using it to help with their tasks - thereby also lifting the profile and credibility of SA before them. I'm pretty sure it would be unique and that people such as ACC would find it's use valuable.

^^ I don't have enough confidence in its accuracy for that! It's a hodge-podge of everything on these forums, and thats a lot of information, miss-information, changes, rejections, resubmissions, marketing, misquotations and so on to go through!

(That's why I always beg for people to correct me!)

Good points aid.

A further suggestion - would it be possible to indicate by code the buildings over 10 flloors that are up for approval, U/U or are proposed? (Eg. use blue 'tears' or half blue with original colour you used as the lower half of the 'tear').I suggest this to indicate where the high rise development is going. (as defined by Cul - around 40 m.- the 'official def'n of high rise).

Hey guys,

We've added thumbnails as requested. We've also added a filter for building height and status. At the moment, 'high rise' is >= 10 levels or 40m.

This means I can be more confident adding complete, cancelled and vision projects because they won't clutter up the map.

Cheers.

No worries. I'm actually quite proud of how the thumbs bring the list to life, as it were. It looks quite cool.
