Good for horse racing ... maybe. Why would and should the government pump mil$20 into a private racecourse development? How does this benefit the State?

Exactly! I can't see how it would benefit the state at all! I'm curious to know which public schools will be closed? or which public hospitals will have it's staff cut? or which public transport projects will be scrapped? to pay for this Private racecourse out in the sticks.

the bit on indaily suggest it might create 1000 jobs.

Who gave it a 6 star rating? Credible star rating systems only go up to 5 stars, so it makes them look like they are giving themselves the rating?

A friend of mine is really into drifting, and took me up to the old Motorsport park on the last day of operation last year, and the guys running the event were talking about a huge truck stop and motel to be built on the current site bordering the Dukes highway, and a state of the art Motorsport park further in, with stands and an airport runway. They were saying about trying to get another Clipsal event for SA to be held there.
