Well, essentially I'm creating a transport vision of Adelaide's tram and train networks in 2050, when the city is expected to be home to 2,000,000 people.

No it's not. South Australia's population is expected to be 2,000,000

That is based on the Category C, 'worse case scenario' presented by the ABS which indeed predicts SA will have a population of 2 million by 2050.

I think Shuz is using the Category A, 'best case scenario' which indeed predicts that Adelaide will have a population close to 2 million by 2050.

And with the mining boom, the growth required to meet the minimal expectations actually exceed the growth rate expectations of Serie B - in a midpoint between Serie A and Serie B. That's just the minimum expectation - I think due to the continued uncertantity of Olympic Dam's size (obviously not found the extent yet - bigger is better) and the prospect of another Olympic Dam project within ADF territory (prohibited mining) found, all signs surepoint to a growth rate matching, or exceeding Serie A.

Seeing as my vision would incorporate a network which is devoid of level crossings (completely segregated from the road network) electrified, and operational with rollingstock capable of achieving at maximum 160kph transit. Frequencies would be as followed:
(Metroline being full-distance, eg: Mount Barker - City, Interline being the branch services, eg: Belair - City),

• NIGHT: A 60 minute frequency on all Metrolines, bolstered to a 30 minute frequency within intercity travel (Interline & Metroline serviced).
  
  INTERPEAK: 30 minute frequency on all Metrolines, bolstered to 20 minute frequency within intercity travel.
  
  PEAK: 15 minute frequency on all Metrolines, bolstered to 10 minute frequency within intercity travel.

Slowly, but surely progressing along with the Light Rail Visions; I've put together some rough cost estimates; (to be edited & updated over time)
$5.5m per tram, $12m per kilometre of track. Have also factored in 10% extra loading for miscellaneous items; ie: labour, traffic management, service relocation, etc. required.
