Wasn't there a motion some time ago about dissolving the Upper or Lower House? Can't remember which is which, like whose Senate and whose House of Representatives.

Rann and Foley were (bluntly) bitching about the Legislative Council a while back, and declared their intention to hold a referendum to dissolve it before or concurrently with the next election. I think (or rather, hope) they've realised they've diddley squat's chance at succeeding, and have gone quite about it.

One day I will be Premier. Don't doubt me.

I'll encourage mining and offer incentives to make their head offices here. I'll cut business tax for financial companies, and try to attract the ASX to open its HQ in Adelaide.

I'll annex the Northern Territory under a mistake when handing it over to the Commonwealth back in the day.

I'll get rid of cotton & Rice farming. I'll bring the Commonwealth games to Adelaide.

I'll force the SANFL into opening a new stadium within 5km of the CBD. Ill bring interstate trains to our grand station.

I'll lift the height restrictions, I'll force councils to merge into supercouncils, and to cut as much admin costs as possible. I'll push for massive tram network. Ill knock down the Old Gaol, replace it with a massive underground/above ground carpark. Serviced by a tram or monorail to the city.

Ill review the whole public system, cutting as many public jobs as is appropriate. I wont bail out failing companies.

I'll only bail out the 36ers if they sell their stadium and move to the entertainment centre.

I'll widen the torrens, Ill make Australia day the best in Oz, Ill push for more super schools, and I'll push for less funding for private schools.

And Finally a dream of mine since I was a kid (its weird) is to erect a massive 'Anzac' statue on the hill near Urrbrae at the beginning of the freeway, to look over the city. What a landmark that would be!

And we'll be in billions of debt :P

And isn't the Gaol heritage listed?

You might want to put that ANZAC statue on 'ANZAC hwy'. At the bottom of the freeway you might want to consider a monolyth made of uranium to show visitors what this state is built on. :D

Thankyou Mr Premier.

No the statue is on the Hill, overlooking the city.

Debt. Well from my annexing the Northern Territory we gain control over their huge royalties that will come into affect soon enough. My cutting of the public service and review of all Government grants would save millions.

Plus bring in the fact the Mining companies plus Finanical companies would bring in high paid jobs.

I forgot to mention I would turn the salt pans into a massive ship building facility. Specializing in Cargo ships. Whilst upgradeing the Osborne site, to be able to produce 5 destoyers at any one time.

Then who knows, we could even sceed from Australia to become Centralia

I'd allow Uranium mining, and I would encourage investment into nuclear, geothermal, solar and wind power sources - decomissioning our coal, gas and oil power plants to make SA electricity supplies 100% carbon-free.

There's no profit to be made out of the Northern Territory, trust me. That's why SA offloaded it in the first place. The nature of settlement there means it is necessarily expensive to service.
