IE & Opera > firefox ;)

I don't like people who like MS bashing just because they're microsoft... I've had firefox freeze on me more times in a month than IE ever has!!! On top of that, it's poor compatibility with most windows functions/applications is poor... I have no idea why every moron and their dog is jumping ship...

Opera on the other hand... a bit greedy on the shareware thing, but overall a sturdy product...

I had firefox freeze when it was 0.7beta, but now it's solid as a rock. What I love about firefox is that if i design a site to use css, it WILL render it accordingly where IE won't. I've had to put in numerous bug fixes to get my sites viewable by IE 5+6. Also activex, is the biggest security f**kup by microsoft in it's entire history.

But they're certainly heading on the right track with IE7 by "borrowing" firefox features.... maybe one day i'll like IE again, but for now... switch!

It's amazing how spyware literally disappears when you switch from IE to firefox. Adaware has never been happier on my pc's.

Tabbed browsing, woohoo!

(Yes I have tried Opera and know that it does have tabbed browsing too, but overall Firefox suits me better, just like Opera and IE suit you better)

Need more people

Postby gregrogers257 » Mon Nov 06, 2006 8:12 pm

I think this site is great but the only problem is there's not enough people logging on and commenting. Over the last couple of weeks I've been starting new topics and I log on every couple of days to see who's replied to my comments. Every time I get disapointed because very few people reply !!

This site has only been around for slightly more than a year I pressume? So I think it is doing good at the moment with the amount of participation.

I would rather see a forum website full of useful information rather than being flocked with thousands of members spamming and crapping out everything.

I have since come to learn that the purpose of the forum is to discuss all sorts of development that is going around Adelaide and in South Australia only, except for the lounge area for general discussion for non-related stuffs.

I can assure that pretty much all developments in SA are being covered and discussed here in Sensational Adelaide be it an interest or not, the most important thing is they are covered.

This is still the best and most efficient forum that I have participated over the numurous numbers of other forums that I am participating in, which often cramped with craps, e-wars, spammers, lamers, jokers and you name it.

I'm pretty happy with the amount of positive and informative responses we get here. We've got good members and I personally want to keep it this way - and hope to build on the good will that our members have in sharing what they find. Even though we don't get instantaneous replies (i understand we're all very busy).. if it's important enough to write, you can be sure we'll write it.

Thanks for the kind comments edgar, i agree that we're on a good thing.
