ah, its the old electricity station on Grenfell Street for the old electric light company, now tandanya

Close enough Will & jk1237... Now, correct me if i'm wrong, but Tandanya is in the old electricity substation that fronts onto Grenfell St - right? This is definitely not that building (and i'm unsure what it houses)

This building is the MTT Convertor Station No. 1 on East Terrace - now an office building for Electra Net I think. It was built in the early 1900's and housed massive amounts of equipment to convert current to the tramways in the days before ETSA supplied the tramway. There were around 10 of these stations set up around Adelaide all to much the same design. Some are still around being used as Town Houses like the one at Elma Terrace off Henley Beach Road and the one at Glenelg East.
Also, the station at Henley Beach is now a Scout Archives Hall. Have to get in there one day and check it out...

That would be the old Grange Scout Hall on Reedie St at Henley Beach.
