Sensational Meet - The Coopers Urban Garden Experiment

Hi all,

It's been a while since we last held a meet up of Sensational Adelaide members, and the last time we did hold one (it was about 2 years ago now from memory) many of the contributors to this forum had not yet joined up here. So now I propose an opportunity for members to meet in an event on topics related to what most of us here are passionate about - the urban environment in the city of Adelaide.

During the Fringe, there is a temporary bar and drinking hole being set up near the Nexus Arts Centre (Morphett Street/North Terrace) and three panel discussions are taking place on topics relating to sustainability and urban renewal in our city over three Saturday afternoons from 4pm - Feb 26, March 5, March 12.

If you are interested, it would be great to nominate a date to meet up and to meet some other familiar forumers or new ones if you've never met any of us before. Howie is always easy to spot.

Sprouting up in Adelaide’s West End this Fringe, The Coopers Urban Garden Experiment is a unique space where you can relax and quench your thirst for ale, art and urban renewal.

Greenery, bicycle sculptures, fresh mint, Mojitos, Coopers ales and Saturday afternoon panels on sustainability.

LAUNCH: 6pm - late on Thurs 17 Feb, with Stephen Yarwood, our favourite Adelaide Lord Mayor, as the opening speaker

URBAN RENEWAL PANEL DISCUSSIONS: Join us for a series of panel discussions on contemporary approaches to sustainability and urban renewal.

Learn about the benefits of greening city spaces, creating vertical gardens and getting involved in community gardening and food sharing projects.

Meet local like-minded people interested in creating sustainable, vibrant and multi-use Cities.

26th Feb 4pm
Thinking vertically. The rise of green walls

5th Mar 4pm
Making space. The growth of community gardens.

12th Mar 4pm
Urban renewal. Planting our way into the future
