Yeah, the Favco was being installed on Saturday, and was fully operational Sunday morning Nov. 19 when I went down KWS. Also had a quick look at the SA Water core. Won't take long for this to reach the sky.

Cheers

Is it just me or does the building look more monolithic and bulky?

Wow it really dwarfs that bus looking from the east. Is that the gym for the school next to it? For some reason I thought that it was going to incorporate the gym into the actual building. Who is going to go into Austral House?

Thanks for posting that Will. They're nice, although not quite as nice as the city central buildings.

Thanks for the new renders Will. This building is massive and bulky. Although overall I do like it just imagine if half of it went on top of the other, it could have been fairly tall :D Worried about the eastern perspective. That looks shocking pretty poor although the gym looks interesting. The sides of SA Water look okay, nice lot of glass in them. I am not sure about the Victoria Square facade. It could either end up looking amazing or really poor and pathetic. Always a risk with detached glass features. The Light Square job is an example of a disgusting result. I hate that building! Drive past it everyday to work. The glass on that is a cheap and nasty and is a very transparent blue. Big failure that one imo. Hopefully the SA Water glass is better quality and not too transparent.

Shame cos the Commonwealth Law Courts building is one of the more interesting buildings in Adelaide. Love it or hate it everyone in Adelaide knows what it looks like and where it is. Can't say that about many other buildings in Adelaide.

I think we've learnt by now not to put much faith in renders.

I think it looks all right.

Excellent new render of this one in the commercial real estate section of the paper today plus an article talking about its amazing green features. Forget to get it the article on the way out from work today. If anyone else got it please post it, otherwise I will try and get it from work tomorrow. It is a render we haven't seen on here yet. I think it is the final one. I hope so anyway. One of my dislikes of this building was the overuse of grey/silver cladding near the centre of the building on the sides. According to this render it will be all glass instead, apart from the the true centre area. Looks a lot better. Plus that block of grey at the top on the western side is gone and it is an open area, possibly an outdoor garden feature. Glass on western facade looks different too, a bit more of a uniform blue, similar to the Light Square office building, hopefully not the same glass though. Anyway great new render and article. I will post tomorrow if no one else does.

UrbanSG: I had the exact same thought and stole that page from the paper, and also I left it at work. It had a render of one of the KWS buildings on it too.

Here is the new render from yesterday's Adveritser, it was located in the Commercial Property section p46. Some big improvements by reducing the grey panels in various loactions.
