I have to agree with everyone - a very sleek and interesting design - curtain far better than I'd first imagined.

When people comment, it's certainly making an impression - quite suitable for VSQ (and that 'T' name).

A great pity IMO about the old police bldg there just over the road.(not near as impressive).

ADELAIDE -TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE

I drove past late last night and noticed something resembling a water droplet that had elements of smokey blue neon lighting in the foyer. It looked awesome. Not sure if this was the same thing, but straight away your comment came to mind.

Thankfully the old police headquarters were demolished in 2002.

No more photos???

Bring on the photos I say. I don't care how many we have for the same building. A picture speaks a thousand words.

A big thanks to all who have provided photos too.

I went on a tour last week. This building is world class! Design, choices of materials, all of the green building technology, etc... so cool - makes me want to work for SA Water!

Yep

I think it is great that the SA Water people get to work in a great building with an expensive fitout.

Sure beats building dams or spending money on securing other sources of drinking water for the rest of us.

There is a disgraceful excuse of an opinion piece in today's Advertiser by Alexander Downer.

He has no acrhcitectural background at all and compares this building to a crusie ship, wtf

Fair enough I don't mind people with no architectural experience bagging a building but to write a large article in the advertiser is over the top. He loves the Federal Court building which his government was involved with but not the State Government SA Water building, hmmmm. Go figure. Now lets get set for all the narrow minded Adelaidians to start bagging this one in the paper.

Alexander needs to keep focused on speaking like a complete snob and wearing fish net stockings and high heels, shudder :wank:

I like that green bit as it adds a unique character to the building that is not seen in adelaide.

Agreed. The Law Courts is a great building, and so is VS1. There are plenty of better deserving targets in Adelaide to call ugly.
