So, Officeworks will be there? Yay!
Next time if you get a chance, snap some photographs!

There still hasn't been an announcement with a full list of tenants yet. leavng it to the last minute. I wonder if there will be a surprise or two? I must say I was expecting a Zara although due to Burnsides poor performance maybe they didn't feel the need to expand in Adelaide.

Another subway? Its amazing how many of these things they can pack in.
Along rundle mall we have myer centre, city cross, rundle place and adelaide central plaza all containing a subway.
Then at one end of the mall you have one in hindley st and at the other end of the mall there is one in rundle street.

I noticed one of these in the Myer Centre the other day.. different brand?
Walked past today.. the Grenfell St side is looking quite classy to be honest! Rundle Place signage was up over the entrance and also on the black strip on the top (3rd) floor, which I don't think was shown on the render. The Rundle St side is coming together also, and is actually growing on me. It's plain, but I don't think it's as bad as the renders make it out to be.
Looking forward to it opening!

I'd have expected Top-Shop too, as well as Zara. Both are expanding rapidly around Australia. Fingers crossed for some last minute surprises!
Also, does any-one know if Officeworks will connect up with the arcade? Or will it only be accessible from Grenfell Street?

I had another look today, and I agree that with the logo up, the black strip on the Grenfell street side now makes a bit more sense. I still don't particularly like the silvery bit sticking out the the left side on Grenfell street, but who knows maybe when it's fully completed that may make sense too. I'm not saying the design is great, but it's not as bad as I thought it might be.
As for the interior, well it looks quite bland and nothing out of the ordinary, but not too bad. I also haven't seen the flooring yet or anything other than what's visible from outside, so will give my final judgement when it is complete.
Off-topic, but I'm off to a Fringe festival event tomorrow and will report on it probably in the "pub" thread later for anyone interested!
Oh and I went into the temporary Harris Scarfe in Rundle Mall Plaza tonight too. It was indeed the final day and at 815pm the whole store was almost completely empty, except for just a few little tables of assorted stock going very cheap. For once, this "final clearance" really was genuine!
The store is now closed, so obviously there will be no Harris Scarfe in Rundle Mall for a couple of weeks. I am a bit surprised at that. Maybe the lease expired and they thought the new store would be open by now?

I'd say their just preparing to move stock from the old store to the new store, that's why they closed HS a couple of weeks out?

Having seen it in its near complete stage it looks good and we should appreciate it for what it is without fussing on its design so much, sure it's no Westfield Pitt street but still, it's a shiny brand new shopping complex with an array of different stores and stands as a launch pad for continual progress and development in the mall. And it shits on what was there!

Thats because Subway is a good popular fast food business, I love the pizza and meatball subs. I would of thought there would be more McDonalds in the Rundle Mall but there are only 2 and another 2 on Hindley Street.
